Bogey team is a team which usually manages to win despite an apparent weakness. Hardly Manly.
But I would agree, head to head, they would be up there.
then I will bet my right one for the last 20yrs Manly, did we play them at brookie with all their forwards out in the last two yrs and Foran tore us one" A man can only walk as far as he can see"

Cronulla cause they have crap and manage to have beaten us when it was ours to win. I still remember that try by the Sharks fullback at the SFS on a night game when he ran the full length of the field from the Paddington end and cut through every tackle. Manly or Saints can't be our bogey team cause they are always competitive.

Just thought I'd see what everyone else's thoughts were?
Last year was a disgrace how we lost te ANZAC day test and that's when the irreversable rot set in for our 2012 campaign.
Manly... I always think they're not such a magnificent team but they ALWAYS beat us (last week doesn't count.) Again last year during Origin Mortimer scored the game winner against them... wait no, it was wrongfully disallowed and after that Manly put 20+ points on us. We were paying $7 to beat them and I remember contemplating dropping a gorilla on that game... glad I didn't.
I have a feeling we CAN beat both this year. Whether we do comes down to attitude alone. If we beat them, we have the right attitude to go all the way IMO!

I also hate playing Penrith.
It's VERY often the case that we get SMASHED by the Riff when they're seen as having no hope. Last year we were rubbish but more respectable teams didn't beat us in such a convincing manner.
In 2010 when we thrashed the Riff in the finals I was amazed... and that was with us on fire and Carney doing no wrong.

The plus side? We have Jennings now, Kennedy got Burns pretty well banned for life and Gus is doing his best to destroy the Riff for us. I'm not all that worried about the Riff this season, but you never know... s*x even more when they are wearing pink and still thrash us.
