  • Latest on Venue and Time Changes for this weekend

The Sydney Roosters and Wests Tigers wish to advise of the following changes to tomorrow’s (Saturday, February 23) trial matches between the two clubs.
The Under 20s trial has been relocated from Allianz Stadium to OKI Jubilee Oval, Kogarah.
Kick-off will now be at the earlier time of 1.30pm tomorrow. Entry to this match is free.
This action has been taken by Stadium management as a precaution to preserve the integrity of the field for the Foundation Cup, with heavy rain forecast for Saturday.
The NSW Cup and NRL trials will both be contested at Allianz Stadium. The NSW Cup trial between the Newtown Jets and Wests Tigers will now kick off at the later time of 5.15pm and the NRL at 7.30pm.
Gates at Allianz Stadium will now open at the later time of 5.00pm.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Well, everyone I know, apart from Cannon of course, are cancelling because of the rain. Come on guys! If I can go and sit there and let my hair frizz and not care, so can you.

It's days like this that I wish I had been working for telstra and had access to one of those corporate boxes. This is one of the few saturdays that I'm off work as well.

So a quick run down. Goodsell starting on the wing. Nene McDonald at centre again. Langi and Cornish the halves. Mammary, Tago, Togotasi and Joka the props, Antonelli starting ahead of Alex Thomas.

Half time Roosters up 12-6. Cornish scored the first under the posts untouched off his right. Shaquille Blair did well for the second reaching out to put it down one handed with a few on him. No mean feat in the conditions. It has been raining here all game and got real heavy just before half time. Best for us have been Martin, Tago, MacDonald, Asiata, Langi and even Cornish has been a lot more stable today. Blair looks strong since coming on. Togotasi is not playing my mistake. Meehan still waiting to get on. Graham looks mean out there. No Maklouf yet. Ball control was very poor for the first 30 for both teams, and Munro is making it a penaltyathon. I don't think he realises its wet out there.

24-6. Shaq Blair offload for Thomas to dart over. Then Cornish kick hits post padding and he regathers to score.

Tigers won the SG Ball as well last year.

Final score 24-6. Talking to a Tigers fan and he was saying just about all but 2 or 3 had just come up from SG Ball so it was nothing like the side that won the NYC GF last year but still a very impressive performance by all our boys. Predicting Nene MacDonald to have a massive year. Just looks too strong for this age group, add that to his sublime speed and you've got a player.

Yak, SKD would be feeling more than a little nervous about his long term future at our club with MacDonald/Moga/RTS waiting in the wings I could easily see Jennings having a new centre partner for 2014 and beyond.
