Does anyone have a link where I can watch the full game?

No he dropped the ball. With the line wide open.

How many NRL players have done that in the dry, let alone the wet. How many others dropped the ball last night?
He should of caught it and scored. He didn't. Quick send him to Newtown....

        You're onto me.

And some realise you can't have SBW or Jennings from 1-17. Be nice though wouldn't?

Don't bother... All you need to know is that SKD was terrible.

No, I already watched the game. But I want to look at a couple things again.

Didn't get to see the game last night but read the thread on the match so sat down to watch the replay on Fox today fully expecting to see a SKD special, dropped balls, missed tackles, stupid passes, lack of interest. All I got was a dropped ball which probably would have led to a try and a missed tackle on the Fijian winger which was always going to be a tough ask given he was coming from behind and to the side of the player. Thought he was his usual energetic self out of dummy half, and looked reasonably strong with the ball in hand given his limited opportunities. He wasn't great by any stretch of the imagination, but I've seen heaps of players have worse games then his last night. Its interesting that there so many people ready to run him down, and so many more ready to make excuses for any mistake Oldfield makes.

Wow all this after a meaningless trial game in awful conditions which we won? i cant wait for our first loss if people are reacting like this after a win.

                      ^^^^^^^This.

As someone said earlier there's a lot of sheep on here. They just follow the leader because it's convenient and they don't/can't form their own opinion. It's ridiculous.

He's the new scapegoat this year along with Friend and Pearce.

Whilst I agree people must have their own opinon, its not difficult to see that Shawn's defence and Jake's lack of attack are the two things that could bring us apart.

As for JnrJnr i think most would agree he can be brilliant, however champions get to their maximum each week. I cant wait to see him do this in 2013.

I think you'll find that many people on here, especially the OP have been saying this for years.

First it was that SKD wasn't experienced.

Then it was that he wasnt a winger.

Now it's that he hasnt had good support. (I don't know how that affects his defence or handling but whatever).

Face the facts - SKD is on money that is close to a marqee player - and his returns, barring that one magic season have been minimal. Please note that he conceded as many as he scored even then.

Please outline the case for SKD beside the fact that he can find the line. I am more than certain that I can put up a stronger case as to how many points he costs us both in attack and defence.

                            He wasn't so bad,

its just the rest of the team were better

he's now a senior player, a test rep, & on a top shelf deal...

the least he can do, is go out there & be the classy dude we expect him to be,

sadly this was not the case but I'm willing to cut come slack because when he's awesome he IS....

Robbo will spark him up...at worst a demotion with handy replacements ready to go but I still have the faith...what little there is

write him off at your peril

I think Jake has looked pretty good in the trials. He was unfit the past couple seasons but looks like he has shed quite a few kg's which will help his speed off the mark and general fitness. He doesn't need to be a world beater, just quick service and solid defence.
                              ...

This isn't a thread about Kenny Dowall as a player, this is a thread about his performance in the trial.

I've always maintained the Kenny Dowall's defence is woeful, even in 2010 when everyone was wrapping him I was very critical. I was also very critical of his Allstars perfroamnce, this isn't a player I defend to the hills or anything like you seem to be suggesting. I'm just not a fan of the witch hunt, he wasn't as bad as a lot are making out yesterday.
