I just rewatched the match and I think some of you are letting it blow out of proportion a fair bit,

Firstly it is only a trial and he had that one blatant drop at the end, well my god he is human

He took a lot of hit ups gaining good metres, he didnt set the world alight but most of the attack went down the other side.

His defence wasnt that bad. I think some of you live in the past dwelling on bad peformances.

He went okay, some of you armchair critics need to get a grip, IMO

In addition, FPN for the short time he was on there had 3 offloads, 1 line break assist and about 11 hit ups, again not bad buf for those baggers who live in the past well, Morts is another one, some suggested he gave poor service, well you must be on drugs, he tackled well, gave it all and is one of the best little support players going around, and dont start me on Mini, safe as house yet people bag him..

    Sigh

I am always ready to bag out our "Rocks and Diamonds", but i will say he wasn't the worst on the night that one i feel belonged to Oldfield. On Skids I would love to see him hit the line and break tackles like the Skids of old instead of the crab run he seems to favour.

Must admit I was one of the baggers, but have to say Frank went very well

He will probably come out and have a shocker and make me look like a goose now

I guess that has been his problem, inconsistency

He, or anyone in our side for that matter have no excuses not to perform this year!

For those who want to see SKD gone, be prepared to wrap him big time if he has a great game, and put away the knives for the time being. But on the other hand if he is ordinary, the people on here who really like SKD and are sticking up for him better be prepared for a well justified attack on him.

For now the ball is in SKD's court, let's just wait and see what he can produce on March 7 before we go either way with him. I for now am going to back him to produce the goods, I really want to see him go great guns for us, cause it will only benefit our side's chances for this year.
Surely trial form should be considered when picking the team for the first round. Why bother having them if you are not going to judge and gauge the performances of players. Trials are for teams to gain match fitness, work on combinations and pick players that are playing well.

In previous years, teams have been picked on reputations. Reputations do not win you games. Players that are performing well and in form do.

For mine, I'd like to see SBW and Jennings as our centres. We have enough backrowers in the top squad.

He can go from villan to hero in a matter of a moment - that is SKD

I agree TOK but the issue with the butter ball is he wins MOM for a game and then is unsighted for the next 5. He would win a Dally M if he plays to his best every week. Well maybe a nomination for best lock.

Why put SBW in the centres and risk him seeing the ball three times in a match? That's dumb IMO. And that's what happens a lot to centres. The game passes them bye way too easily. Especially in structured teams. Wether it's our attacking structures of our own, or a weakness we are exploiting in opposition.

People keep bringing up the all stars game... I was there and the indigenous smashed the NRL all stars for very simple reason. Commitment and desire! Ryan James was pure example, he was determined. And he unlike the other players was playing partly for the game itself, but primarily playing for Cartwright. To try and get a gig at the tits..

My point though being SKDs performance in all stars and the trial against tigers were polar opposites. I'd happily rate SKD a 2 for all stars match. But Benji, Smith, Reynolds, mateo etc etc were just as bad...

What would you rate SKD's overall performance the last couple of years? Even the last 5 years.

If he was playing for another team and became a free agent this year would you pay him $400K-$450K? Do you think any other team would apart from Parramatta?

It was a trial. Bag SKD when the game actually means something.

Are we paying him $400-$450k? I'd rate his performances above the majority of the remaining members of the squad from the same period. Obviously the kiwi selectors didn't mind his efforts during a certain tie frame.

Last time he played in a decent team (2010) he was Dally M centre of year, Golden boot runner up, scored 20 tries in a year.

No I wouldn't offer him that to get him from another club. But he is here, he is a game breaker, he will win us a lot more games than he loses for us and is well worth more than a chance at playing in our strongest squad for last five years.

That would be true if garbage and mediocre were polar opposites.
