  • Setaimata Sa detained by police after running riot at hotel

    http://www.leaguehq.com.au/articles/...570648647.html

Another National Rugby League player has fallen foul of the law.

The Herald can reveal Roosters star Setaimata Sa was detained by police last night after running riot at a Sydney hotel after being refused entry for being too drunk.

He still made his way into the hotel, where he resisted police and needed to be physically restrained before being taken away.

Roosters chief executive Steve Noyce confirmed he had been made aware of the incident and would launch a full investigation today.

The incident will threaten Sa's league future, being the latest instalment in the Roosters' year of shame.

The most recent had been Roosters forward Nate Myles being suspended for six weeks over his drunken behaviour at a Central Coast hotel, where he defecated in a hotel corridor on a Sunday morning after attending a junior rugby league function. The Roosters club has been fined $50,000 because of the number of alcohol-related incidents that have affected the club this season.

Coach Brad Fittler fined himself $10,000 after being found drunk and shirtless and attempting to enter someone else's hotel room in Townsville.

Roosters officials confirmed the incident to the Herald.
Arghhhhh, I give up with this lot.

IMO its a win win for us.

Now we can get rid of this waste of space, how hes stayed in 1st grade this season is beyond me, the worst attitude ive seen in a very long time in a footballer.

Frees up some cashola to purchase some hungry players who will actually put in for the club.

        Fark him off now Easts.

Had all the talent in the world this kid.

I agree, how he was continually selected in first grade is beyond me. He didn't give a fark.

I thought he was appealing the previous incident?

This could potentially significantly impact that outcome.

Can he be sacked and thus free up some cash until 2012?

Youd have to think so mate, afterall The Faiders did it with Toad Carney and The Juans with Dreg Turd. They both went out and signed players after that.

Id guess if we dont sack the lazy goose we would incur even more wrath from NewsRL anyway. Wed probably cop a 100K fine or something similar.

Remember Melba standing GI-palmer down. NewsRL loved that move, they said it reflected a good attitude from the club.

IMO we have no option with this arseclown, sack the bludger, wed actually play better without him on the field and it would remind our players the line in the sands drawn, fark up and its Centerlink time.

There is something wrong with Sa, that is now plainly obvious given this latest incident and he needs help to overcome his problems. It would appear he is dreadfully unhappy because you don't do these kinds of things unless you have a reason or a need that isn't being filled constructively. He leaves the Roosters with no choice but to immediately show him the door because if they don't they will end up looking weak and hypocritical to the players that remain. Perhaps he is homesick, perhaps he was always homesick, perhaps he needs to go home, who knows? He needs help but I don't know if he should get it while he's a Rooster.

                        So true.

Sa is 21, I'd probably give him the offseason under Smith - if Smith wants to cut him after that then so be it.

Smith won't have a chance to do anything with Sa - Sa is as good as gone IMHO.

Resisting arrest? I call bullshit! Sa wouldn't put in enough effort to resist falling over let alone resist arrest. Maybe he should play pissed, at least we know he'd have a dig?

                              Chook.
