Its wrong its wrong its just wrong.

For starters why wasn't he walking riot, this running riot is not on, maybe even a strolling riot might have been acceptible !!!!

They are basically walking or strolling on the field, why can't run on the field and walk at the pub.

3 big fat rainbow ponies to you Setimata Sa you ****ing idiot.

Second assault charge in less than 2 years, he should be as good as gone, without needing to pay much for the privilege.

The only time this bloke ever fires up is with drink as his motivating factor. Just not good enough.

If he's convicted for a second assault charge and can't win his appeal on the first, he may be spending a little time in detention.

I don't care if he does fire up for another NRL Club, just so long as he and his ongoing off field issues are not the Roosters problem.

            a more detailed account

POLICE have charged Roosters star Setaimata Sa after an alleged drunken night out at a Sydney pub.

Police were called to the Coogee Bay Hotel just before 10pm last night after reports the star had become abusive towards staff and had allegedly smashed a window at the pub.

The Daily Telegraph understands five police cars from Eastern Beaches LAC responded to the call.

Police allege the incident began when Sa was refused entry to the hotel for being too drunk.

It is understood that Sa, 21, from Little Bay, had arrived at the hotel with a female companion.

Depsite being refused entry, he allegedly managed to make his way inside, where he was arrested by police.

Police allege an officer was struck by a gate when it was pushed on to him during the struggle to arrest Sa.

Sa was taken to Maroubra police station, where he was charged with assaulting police, resisting arrest, malicious damage and failing to leave a licensed premises.

He has been granted bail and will appear at Waverley Local Court on September 23.

Superintendent Peter McErlain said no officer was hurt in the incident.

"The man was handcuffed and taken away after a brief struggle," he said.

"None of our officers were injured."

            and from another article

Noyce said Sa had subsequently been released but police are believed to have charged the New Zealand international with assault, resisting arrest, malicious damage and failure to leave a licenced premises.

Look, some elements of this story may be true (like the fact that he allegedly drunkenly assaulted police), but any story that starts out by describing Setamata Sa as a "Roosters Star" clearly lacks credibility!!

Sack the ****er and lets move on!

I may be the lone voice, but I wouldn't sack him, at this stage.

The club has a responsibility to help him, the club bought him across the dutch at 17.

He should be suspended indefinitely, then, when the court issues are resolved, both parties can agree on the best outcome for him. Remember, he hasn't been convicted yet.

A decision to punt him now is a poor decision, without trying to help, even if it is a repeat offence, as this sends a very poor message of what type of organisation the Roosters are, ie, in relation to the development of boys into men.

Helping him achieve the best outcome is the right thing for the Roosters to do.

I cant believe he's still only 21. Seems like his been there for ever.
He has (had) so much potential but doesnt seem to have a digg, or care.
I can just see him getting picked up by another club and just shredding.

This club has been humiliated enough, show this goose the door.
Cherrington,if he'd been sacked earlier, may have deterred some of the later incidents...who knows?
