By people you mean You? Otherwise some will, some won't. It's one working night, it's not like this is happening every night of the week.

Bruce Springsteen is playing on a Wednesday night, do you think people won't go for that reason? I think people will put up with one late night to go to an event.

So you posted that at 11.05 pm on a work night???

And you're worried about watching a game of footy on a Thursday night that will be over by 9.30 pm???

        Fark me, it's play school.

As of today, there are only 9,000 tickets left. I reckon about 40,000 people will make the sacrifice.

Lol yep and he may need an extra strong latte in the morning mate.

Horry posted the club has said they only have 9000 seats left. That's more than a week before the game. Kinda blows the whole sleepy head theory away.

Dang I don't recall ever sleeping Thursday nights. After school or work we'd go to footy training then either out to a club or a poker night with the boys then home for a quick shower before school or work Friday. It was a given the weekend started on a Thursday.

What's wrong with the youth of today.

Being a working day with work on the following day, I cannot imagine it will yield as big a crowd as a Friday. Just seems like a stupid move.
You have had months to prepare for it.

If you work in the City, why don't you take a bit of exercise and walk to the ground from work. Then afterwards, you can walk back to the car and drive home. Too easy.

This was a public service announcement......

Hopefully we see lots of Eastern Suburbs fans but I am fearful that we will be horribly out numbered.

Perhaps you are right, however the TV Ratings for a Thursday night game would arguably be larger. As well, the game currently has sound around 35k so far and is easily on track for a sell out with over 8 days left. Overall, the Thursday night probably works out better $$$ wise.

I'll be there even though I don't like the Thursday night scheduling and work the next day. This is what happens when the game is essentially beholden to a television network.

Did you have any better ideas of where the game was going to get $1b from, you don't get a billion dollars for nothing you know of course they will have to make some sacrifices & find some balance between pleasing the fans & paying the bills.

Even though I'm sure it won't be a sell out, I'll be guaranteed a seat with my $99 membership right?
