Souths second man plays.

I remember watching the charity shield a few weeks ago , and in that game i dunno if the dragons defence was that shite or the souths second man plays were that good. I hope we trained hard in defence this week espicially our goal line defence. Cause the luke to sutton to inglis combination has worked charms for them and i hope we have someone rush up and anticipate it and shut it down. In the tigers trial game i saw maloney rush up on marshall and shut him down a few times which was good to see. But i seriously hope someone helps out skd to tackle inglis cause he will push him off all night like a rag doll like he did in the all stars game. Anyways other than that i hope we smash them! haha , go the chooks!

Maloney cannot rush Sutton, he would be run over by Sutton's 6ft4 frame, Souths have a good one two punch with Sutton and Inglis, both are big with good ball skills, if you rush them than they will either put kicks behind our defensive line or take the line on. Best way to combat is to have a steady fast moving defensive line and try and cut down thinking time of the ball players.

Doesn't necessarily matter, the point is to force him to make a decision. Even if he gets run over Sutton would still be slowed down/forced to pass.

This game should be about defense, if we simply play a tigers style game & just try to outscore them we will not be successful, souths are a team that keep hitting back.

Souths second man play is well executed, Sutton being the link man needs to be pressured. LOD should give him one on the chops as well.

Sutton needs to be softened up with the likes of FPN & Moa running hard at him with ball in hand. He gets flustered when he's defending against hard men.

Unfortunately $ouffs are the real deal this year, I reckon.
They have one year under their belt with Maguire ( we have 2 trials with Robbo)
They have a halves combo that is a year older and got them to the major semi (Jr Jr and Maloney have 1 game together)
Their forward pack is massive and has been together for quite a few years now (kinda similar to ours except for the inclusion of $BW and LOD)
I just reckon their combos will be more crisp and sharp than ours. It will be our first game together working on Robbo's structure.
I hate $ouffs with all my being but I do reckon they will be in the GF this year. They have been building towards it for years now. They finally have bought a coach who can take them there and they have bought the players to get them there as well. Similar to us in 2002.
I know one thing for sure, if they are in the GF I will not be watching. If they lose, I'll watch it on Fox afterwards.

hey muff you may be right in alot of things but you also missed out , they have never faced pearc and malony , so they wont know how to defent them.
they dont know how tuff sam moa is nor how hard he and lod hits.
they have sutton hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
they have inglass at the back to take photos of jenko running down the side line.
their forwards will tire with being turned around so much.
