Agenda - a very annoying and over-used word usually used in the absence of any real case against the alleged perpetrator

What does it mean? Does it mean they have something against the Roosters (that's right, of course, it goes back to the super league days...), and so their "agenda" is to ignore anything positive about the club and only write negative stories about the club and their players?

If that's the case, how do you explain stories like the one below, and hundreds of others that have been written? Surely if you write anything positive, that's getting away from the "agenda", isn't it? Undoing all the good work that the "agenda" has achieved? Surely?

Or does agenda actually mean "when they take the piss or question something we do, we all just come out and start throwing the word "agenda" around, and defend ourselves that way?"

I think the agenda issue stems from the way they selectively report things. If we or our players do anything slightly outside the norm, its back page news....Carney the prime example. There are numerous tales of his escapades since he signed with the Sharks but strangely none of them make the paper. When he was with us, if he farted it was reported in the press. Its the way they report player signings. We poach players according to the DT yet Cronulla/Souths or any other team for that matter recruit them.....please! Its the same thing and every club does it!

I suppose you will tell me that there is no Phil Gould/Nick Politis agenda from Rothfield either?

And the Carntey example is very good. Rothwitt and Co harassed the man endlessly during his time with us, even before when we sent him to Atherton. But since the day he signed with the Tardpoles he became born again. It's obvious.

IMO it's all implied innuendo anyways. I don't read it and don't worry about it. I only see it when people post articles here. I don't even click on links for the Tellucrapp.

There is no doubt in my mind whatsoever since SL the Tellucrapp have consistently taken pot shots at my club and the players and officials associated with it. And they have done so with many others also, but it's become a cliche with Easts.

It really was turned into a campaign around 10 years ago when we actually looked like dominating for a few seasons. The whole Salary Crap/Poaching shit went viral when people started looking at a certain club owned by NewsRL and their endless rorts thru interested businessmen posing as non-sponsors but supplying players with pubs, restaurants, media gigs even NRL board gigs etc.

Living where I do I see and hear a lot of what occurs with this certain franchise. Of course there is zero in the proof column, that's a given, these companies/individuals have made careers out of covering their anuses and deflecting any questions in other directions.

We are the ultimate Patsys, Easts.

I like it personally cos I know what's really happening and really don't give a shit. I take my minor victories over the powers and I enjoy watching my team play the game I love.

But I will never allow them to beat me. I will stand and tell the truth as I see it as loud as I can. I fear not being called a conspiracy theorist or p-noid or any other such term to deflect the truth getting out there.

I am pleased that News seems to have exited the power side of RL. The TV deal alone proves we finally have lost the big agenda from the game.

I don't expect you to dig what I'm saying, in fact what I've been saying since before 1998, it's all good. But deep down we both know Teabags, that's good enough for me.
