My former workmate's golden retriever Rocky used to receive a happy birthday card each year personally signed by the Vermin Capt. I deadset thought he was taking the piss until he proved it by showing me the signed card.
I gave it to him big time but that was his way of supporting his team financially which is fair enough but, like some have stated it shouldn't be reflected in their season ticket memberships.

Smart move by going to the schools and giving them memberships, as a kid you would of loved to recieve something like that, more clubs should do it, it would cost very little to develop these packs and souths may have paid for it and included in its totals, again clever. i dont see if they are giving away memberships how it helps them, so why would you bother doing it just to have the most numbers, is there a monetary reward from the nrl?

Not all Roosters members can get to the games.
Many people have to work on Thursday nights.
Not all Roosters members/fans live in the "inner city."
Fans/Roosters members with little kids who live at Liverpool etc can't always make night games, especially Thursday nights.
Wait til the cottontails start to lose...there'll be empty seats everywhere.
She taking potshots at us?
What's new?
She shouldn't be taking potshots at anyone.Last edited by bondi-boy; 03-15-2013, 06:55 PM.

The red, white and blue membership that we offer should count as there are fans such as myself who live in SEQLD (specifically the Gold Coast for me) who want to represent and support our club up here but cannot make matches in Sydney. Clearly a ticketed membership for people such as myself doesn't make a lot of sense.
I do try and get to Sydney for matches, I was there in round 1 in the Chookpen with Muzz and the others but I can't guarantee I can make it on any given weekend.
I feel my membership should mean as much to the club as those who are season ticket holders. I buy the merchandise, support the club interstate when they do play up here, get to Sydney when I can and in general bleed red, white and blue.

If Red White and Blue memberships are not being counted then the membership dept should be told to count them.

Scary
You also have to understand that despite these membership numbers, Souths remain worthless as a financial entity.
