Look, this sport of NRL is almost unique. "Winning the ruck" is so objective and vulnerable to abuse. American football is an example of a sport that is mostly decided by athleticism and teamwork of the better side, minimally by referees. There will always be line ball calls in any sport. But ours is the worst by far for referees influencing results. And in soccer, you can get sent off for taking a dive - that's what Crocker deserved for that milked penalty - that was the one that finished us off, and the refs were happy to oblige. That "off your head" Cummins still has a job is a travesty. This corruption in sport authority, with their information they supposedly have about organised crime and sports betting, should be having a close look at those with the biggest opportunity to fix matches, and it ain't the players.
