Bent over rows looks like about 120kg on the bar, shoulder should be ok with that.

If he has a tear at his AC joint as reported, he will be pain free within certain ranges of movement. Anything in front of his body, and below shoulder height, will almost certainly feel like normal. Once his arm moves behind his body, or is extended when above his shoulder is when the problems occur. He could easily play with the tear and have no issues, or he could, just as easliy, get his arm caught in the wrong position making a tackle and completely rip his shoulder apart.

If the tendon hasn't repaired to the point that it can take a repeat strain, then the risk of long-term injury is very high if he plays.

        I speak from experience.

As I said earlier if he is injured get the surgery done and get him ready for the rest of the season.

We are 1 week into a 6 month season it would be foolish to put an injured player on the field.

Cordner named on the bench??? Either the rumours about his shoulder are bs or Robbo is taking a page out of smiths book

I wouldn't be surprised if Napa comes onto the bench for O'Donnell but i don't think he's ready. He's a very good young player but i think we need more impact off the bench. Personally I'd prefer Ailaomai or Liu. Kennedy (on current form) and Napa are both toilers. They don't bend the line much but get through a lot of work. Napa's biggest impact will definitely come in defence. He is an angry bastard out there and will be lining blokes up all game. A second bench prop makes more sense than using O'Donnell especially with Maubs on the bench. With two props we can do a straight swap with the starters without losing much size, SBW moves to lock avoiding a heavy opening 20 in the middle and Maubs comes onto the right side. I think SBW may play closer to 80 this week hopefully coming on to the left edge when Guerra comes off. He'll probably play the first 50 and last 15. 20 right, 30 lock and 15 left. That's a good mix for mine. I'm sure TR noted how much space Pearce was creating for Aubusson last week and is thinking we might as well make the most of it with SBW. Just so long as SKD is awake to it.

Agree with the balance of the bench. We definitely need 2 props on the bench. This was our biggest problem against the rabbits. When Moa and JWH came off, we were left with one prop. Although Kennedy's performance was poor, it looked worse because he was the only prop on the field. That said, O'Donnell will offer more in this regard than Arona did.

I'm not convinced that LOD will offer much more than Arona in the go-forward department.... that's simply not his strength. He should stop the opposition bending the centre of our line so easily once the starting props come off though. I know their bench hooker is a live-wire, but the rest of the Warriors bench is pretty un-inspiring. I think we should be much more competitive across the park this week.

Cordner...injured in the stupid trials...now look what's happened...we'll be without him at his best for most of the season.
We should not be playing trials.

Of course this is what happens when the media has you up in lights, predicting you're the next big thing.

Cordner will play some part on the field against "Worriers" this week end.

Teams have been playing trials, and supporters have been having this argument since time began mate.

I'm happy to go along with Robbo, MacGuire, Hasler, Bennett, Bellamy etc in that they see them as a necessary evil. They tend to know a lot more about the game than me and you.

If we hadn't played any and got lapped the next 2 or 3 games, you'd be complaining that we were off the pace and not ready for the season......
