  • Kennedy is willing to do the hard work regardless of whether it's defence or attack.

Yesterday he came on when we barely had any ball and worked his ass of in defence.

This is why he'll continue to hold his position under Robbo because he knows what he's going to get out of him every week. Last week he came on when he had a lot of ball and made good metres for a 30 minute stint. Both he and O'donnell have done well when coming off the bench imo.

The argument that we need a powerful runner coming off the bench is a fair one but that would be at the cost of Maubs of FPN imo. I'd just shift O'donnell to lock and bring Tasi or Evans onto the bench. Or even start O'donnell and push FPN back to the bench.

    • FNP has been going gang busters starting, absolutely no reason to dump him to the bench.

As for Kennedy, he's getting his confidence, work rate and effectiveness on the up, again no reason to change that.

The team is improving each week, there's no reasons to change anything.

      Chook.

The fact that prior to his injuries he showed himself to be one of the premier props in the game despite only being in his early 20s is reason enough for us to give him time to continue to develop and improve. Doesnt this kennedy rubbish mirror that which was being said about shillington among others before they went on to become internationals? Props dont mature until 25 or more in some cases. Im not defending him, all Im saying here is that you have a guy who has shown already at a very tender age for a prop that he has a massive amount of potential. He is still young, has had some injuries and is obviously short of a run. To come on here and carry-on as if we have some 30 year old hack going around is uncalled for.
I don't disagree with anything here.

Spot on Chook. MK worked really hard in defence last night.

Positive signs and attitude all over the park last night.

It's funny how FPN is performing exactly as he did last season but getting plaudits for it now when he was so heavily criticised last year. I don't disagree with you, I think he's playing well which is no real surprise because he didn't play poorly last year either imo.

My post was more about balance than performance. JWH, Moa & FPN are all strong carriers of the football, the case can be argued that shifting one of them back to the bench in order to provide impact would give the side a better balance. At the moment when those 3 go off, Cordner shifts to lock and O'donnell & Kennedy come on we do loose a bit of punch, they're all great workers but they don't really compliment each other.

Either someone gets dropped for Tasi or Evans or we shuffle it up a bit, I'm more for the latter given I'm a big believer in incumbency.

                          • I put my hand up and say I don't rate Kennedy very highly and was Calling for his head after the vermin game. But after the last2 games I see a big improvement in his performance. I'd still like to see him bend the line a bit more in attack.

I've heard murmurs that MK might be heading to the cowgirls next year.
