I thought it was Mini's two mistakes that led to tries, first one a simple spilled ball on a backline sweep that led to the Johnson try and second when he couldn't bend over and knock the ball dead on the grubber kick for Bill Tupou's try.

I wouldn't blame Mini for that one, got caught near the play the ball, was getting across to cover the kick in behind. Plenty enough cover around the ruck to stop that one, it was all just a bit lazy. Head in hands stuff for the last try though.

Pearce's game was solid enough .. I'll take any away win ... glad we got the 2 points! Yes Mini dropped the pill to Johnson and the grubber was ordinary but his effort for the first try was class and he was very solid under the ball all night. You can't expect anymore out of him. I love RTS but his effort with that same grubber was ordinary .. he didn't compete at all. I know he is a fullback but I don't think he would have done a better job than Mini tonight. Please give Pearce and Maloney a break. They are still developing combinations .. if it is still like this in round 6 .. then questions should be asked.

its only round 2.... relax . give him and maloney more time, as stated several times, when its round 6 and above and his still playing like this then its time to start bagging him, it was a tough game tonight we won . we should accept his perfermance as okay for this week , even though imo he didnt play that bad . yes he needs to work on his short kicking game but i didnt see maloney trying to get repeat sets???
