[QUOTE=Parkway_Drive;286728]I'm with Fitzy on this one. Anyone who thinks Mini is still a good first grade fullback nowadays is a dead set moron. Can you name any regular first grade fullback who has less all round skills?
I love how Mini used to play and is still one of my favourite players, but watching him almost butcher every backline movement is dead set killing me and I cannot get how he can catch the bombs (his complete skillset), but not catch a pass or bat or fall on a grubber.

To the morons who say missing that grubber was acceptable, he missed it because he was toooooooo sloooowwwwwwwww and has flippers for hands except for defusing bombs.[/ QUOTE]

You need to watch it again, the ball bounced right next to his feet took off and stayed low, some of u guy over react big time

If he had the speed of the modern fullback the ball wouldn't have bounced next to his feet, Slater, Bowen, Barba, Hayne, Beale, Locke, Norman, Dugan (although he is a tule), Inglis (who is a pretty handy player), Gordon, Gardner, Boyd, Reece whatshisname from Canberra, Zilman, Morris (when he is fullback), Evander Cummins, the Fish, Stewart, the list goes on and on and on would have all got to the ball before it bounced....Yesss I over react, I have been following this club for a really long long time and am now on meds, I am allowed to over react.

Warriors Try Number 1 - Mini drops ball that hit him on the chest and Warriors run 90m to score

Warriors Try Number 2 - Mini falls for the dummy and goes the same way as the A marker defender leaving a big gap for Godinet to score

Warriors Try Number 3 - Mini fails to defuse a simple grubber, people will say it took a funny bounce but he had ample time prior to that knock it out of play or ground it.

Watch the replay and tell me I'm lying.

I don't know how people can watch the team and in the back of their mind know that no matter how well we play a dodgey fullback could cost us the game.

          Well said 6.

Fullback is probably the most important position in the team nowadays and we have a mediocre one.

It could haunt us later in the season with finals berths on the line

By First Grade standards it was.

You're not seriously trying to defer the blame for that try? That was the worst of the lot, he didn't even make an attempt.

Try #2 i blame whoever went for that terrible chargedown on our 40 odd meter mark, rarely do they come off let alone in your own half, also friend didnt help running from marker leaving mini on his own that close to the line.

Totally AGREE!!!!!! like if there are other fullbacks for us to get, now! and another troubled Raiders isn't the answer and neither is RTS unless an injury happens .. RTS has his problems too but he'll improve but not this early in the season.

how do you know RTS isnt the answer at fb...he hasnt played a game there yet. I doubt he could do worse than the count, and Mini will have better defensive reads on the wing....it must happen

i agree, for the good of the team rts may have to step down to newtown to allow a winger to take over, if mini doesnt have the sense and dignity to move himself to the wing,

Mini can do wing or fb but rts cant do wing.

You know it's a bloody shame it's got to this point because Minichiello was one of the best players to have represented this club in his day.

His glory days are over and he's quite a liability nowadays, I just hope that his mediocrity doesn't tarnish (well, in our fans minds) the reputation of the player he once was (before that arseclown Luke MacDougall farked him up). He's got to finish it up though, he's absolutely turrible.

I couldn't see a problem with Minichiello's game last night.

Yeah but this is coming from a bloke that has the opinion of Brett Finch being one of the greatest halfbacks to play for the club. :P
