It is not the fact Mini makes mistakes, every player does, however in Mini's position it invariably costs us points, the momentum he gave the warriors with that simple dropped ball almost cost us again.
So many times last year mini looked great, then made simple, regulation errors that cost us points and the game.
Even the game against the vermin, Jennngs looked like a goose with that pass that mini dropped, however it was mini's bad positioning that farked the try, Jennings was positioning Tupou only to catch a glimpse of mini, mini should have gone inside and given another option.
Poor decision making comes with age, how old is Pearce again??
You cannot defend the indefensable
He has to move to the wing or find a season ending injury as sad as that is too say

To be honest you cracked me up by calling everyone who disagreed with you an idiot.
In regards to Mini I really feel bad about the situation. He is our fullback and captain and a club legend. Yes he probably should have retired last year. However, have you ever noticed that our own supporters are his harshest critics. Whenever, I talk to supporters of other teams they all think Mini goes okay. Mini is in the unfortunate position that every time he makes an error or has a bad game people will be calling for him to hang up the boots. Yes he made two very poor errors on Saturday but I thought he went okay otherwise.
Perhaps I am looking at this situation a little too optimistically. However, there is a reason. In a sense we need him to go well for the sake of the club. We can't sack our captain and most experienced player. If he were to retire mid-season it would also be a major disruption. The other choice is for him to move to the wing which may be the best option. Although we are not sure if RTS is ready and able and it is also very unusual to have a winger as captain.
Uncle Nick has assembled a gun squad. I'm talking about about not only the first grade team but the coaching and support staff and the likes of POS. I think we are primed for a serious crack at the title, perhaps this year but certainly next year. Having a lack of stability in the captain/fullback role could well derail those ambitions.
Are we flogging a dead horse with Mini? Maybe, but I think we can still squeeze a bit of life out of him yet. I honestly believe he will still be here in 2014.
p.s. I'm actually more concerned about Jake Friend than Mini.

Like you said it's an internet forum but people on here take it too personal. If I went back and looked at everyone's posts they all would of at some stage bagged a player or a coach.
Does that make them a bad supporter? Does it mean they don't personally like the player? Of course not.
At the end of the day I just want what is best for the club.

People have defended him by saying "he took bombs and his field position was good..." etc.
At the end of the day that is his minimum requirement anyway.
The bottom line is that he is no longer a first grade standard fullback.
In fact he would be close to the worst in the NRL.
This is bad news for the Roosters given it is one of the most important positions o the field.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

He also knocked a few bouncing balls dead rather than run around it like last week.
I'm a fair person and I give him credit on those things.
The fact is still he is never going to contribute to our attack.
He won't magically find his lost pace.
He won't discover a passing or kicking game.
I don't think that's being critical or unfair it's just a fact of life that 33 year old's won't improve, they usually get worse.
Anyway good win. We play with that passion we will beat plenty of teams this year.
