      Good call Sherlock
LOLOL, I wouldn't have SKD in the team at all. If you saw the LOL I put next to the suggestion you would have realised that I was having a dig. Everyone knows my thoughts on SKD.

      You must be a lantern.

Riiiight, but because you have settled with Sk-Dumb being in the team each week, your next best suggestion is to put our next biggest mistake ridden, unconfident player next to him only to then laugh at your own suggestion because of how idiotic it sounds. I'm not sure what is more comedic, the suggestion, or the fact that you laugh at your own idiotic ideas

Your idea of a "dig" is idiotic, but, yes, theres always a but. I shall give you a dozen pats on the back for idiocy. That's quite a high mark from me so take it and run with it.

        And yes, you're welcome

          Agreed...
He's not some beefy monster who can charge through people. He's there because he's tall and athletic so can catch balls above everybody in the corner and score.

Sheck is shorter and a lot thicker so cannot be compared.

FWIW Jennings has done 2 amazing breaks/runs that would have led to tried if Tupou had received them properly. This week he was given a pass that was too low and too close/short (have to watch a replay to decide.)

Jennings is running amazingly but needs to get better at placing his passes to tupou. He's tall and needs them to be higher!

He's an absolute gun under the high ball which is his major strength. It's not like Oldfield is much better, nor Henry or any other option we have. Give the kid time, he doesn't need to be a yardage player to be effective for us. RTS does that enough and has taken that role from Perrett on the other side. Toups should be used primarily as giraffe under the high ball (like Falou was)
and what a disgrace it is we are using him like this!!

I don't think he is massive or a powerful runner. He does not look strong at all, looks tall and lean but definitely not in the Israel Folau mode or Hodges. Just lean and tall.
              He's only '16' and basically a 'rookie'.
He'll bulk up, and get better with every match.

Both wingers seemed to get a lot more involved last night. They need to so it was good to see. 2 penalties came for us after 'strips' from Toups. I think we were lucky. Toups needs to be more solid when holding the ball.

Sure his ball security was pretty poor last night but I think calls that he is weak are way off the mark. Half the time these drop balls were coming after he'd broken the first tackle and was trying to fend the cover for a clean break or to get a pass away to support. The second one he got away with was a deadset strip. McCullough had his hand on the ball and pulled it out. It wasn't like he slapped it out making the tackle. His first drop ball in the play the ball the ball he put it down on the markers foot. More than half the time that is a penalty. No doubt he needs to improve his ball security and Jennings and SBW were making him very aware of that throughout the game, but the rest of his game is pretty solid imo. Other than getting beaten by a forward pass on the outside in the 6th minute he did his job defensively. Not saying he had even an above average game but anyway calling for Oldfield to come in is going off way too early and is very ill-informed regarding Oldfield. He turns pretty quick for a big man for grubbers in goal. Last night he was throwing defenders away and made a couple of half busts out of nothing. One he offloaded to Maloney who was just dragged down, straight away Tupou sprinted out to his wing and was there in time to keep pace with Jennings to support that long break he made from dummy half. On that if you watch the replay it's clear that Jennings feet are too fast for his brain. He scooted around Gillett and once completely in the clear he put a right foot step on nobody, he was past Maranta but I reckon that split second of lateral movement allowed Maranta to get a hand on him and not allow him to make an easy pass with two hands to Tupou.

But back to the point, the only two things I think Tupou can improve on is his ball security and bomb defusal. On attacking bombs he hardly ever misses, he looks super quick (looks like he's just cruising in support next to Jennings sometimes). People at the Roosters say he is faster than Jennings actually (probably over 100m). And despite what a lot of people seem to believe he has an enormous amount of upper body strength and only gets dominated when the first man goes in on his ankles (the tall timber effect). I always respected Sam Perrett as a player but he's twice the winger Sam ever was and with a bit of good coaching and experience could be anything given his skill set and stature.

                              Quality.
Tupou is raw, but he can break a tackle, so I'm happy to stick with him

This guy's handling errors is starting to bug me....

Good Player but I would prefer someone who will just hold on a ball as he keeps giving me a heart attack everytime he takes the ball up and also give it some time and he will eventually keep us with Jennings speed...
