He has only played 6 NRL games so he will have his ups & downs. I think defensively he goes OK. He needs to work on his ball security & positioning when backing up. He was making half breaks & breaking tackles in his runs which was good to see. He needs to be persisted with. Swapping Oldfield for Tupou would not strenghten the team.

It's not like Oldfield is much better, nor Henry or any other option we have. Give the kid time, he doesn't need to be a yardage player to be effective for us. RTS does that enough and has taken that role from Perrett on the other side. Toups should be used primarily as giraffe under the high ball (like Falou was)

15 runs for 217 metres, 4 linebreaks and 7 tackle breaks. No crucial errors, only one I remember was when he got tackled after a linebreak and was going out and threw it back in. Twice got his toe on a loose ball and gave us possession 30 metres down the field. Should be full of confidence after that.

Haven't watched on tv yet but on ground level when he was on the end of those line breaks, it looks like he could have put the foot down and either scored or drew in the fullback for a try but seemed to kinda jog.. Is he just slow or didn't pin the ears back?

i would sent moga, toupo, rts and skids to a sprint coach, some one who can teach them to turn on the next level of speed and how to master the balance of running fast.
one of the tries could have been earlier if the ears were pinned back and ran towards the corner and the use of the extra man would haVE SCORED1911 1912 1913 1923 1935 1936 1937 1940 1945 1974 1975 2002 2013 2018 2019 2020
