It was a bit deceiving I think Geo. I thought the same thing at the ground that he must have lacked pace but after watching the replay last night it was noticeable that each time he got cut down the defender had a 3 or 4m headstart on him. Morgan is no slouch either but not many wingers would be able to burn the cover in the situations he found himself in. He showed his pace to sprint downfield and dive on a loose ball, the defenders were in line with him and he beat them to the ball with ease. On the second maloney cut out Morgan had about 3 metres headstart and he only managed to clip his ankles. I think you'll find that he won't get caught from behind too often this year. And yeah as he gets more games under his belt he'll learn to set up his supports better, start taking his man on with that great fend a bit more and will become unstoppable close to the line with a bit of space. Will be very interesting to see what happens once Moga gets some match fitness. SKD has been solid but he'll really have to step his game up with Moga looking for that spot next to SBW. If he gets a run at some stage for whatever reason, with these new structures that have been taught to the squad i don't think he'll look back. What a weapon he'd be coming into the finals.

Tupou doesn't look all that strong, but more than once he looked likely to bust through when carting the ball up.
Also I've been a critic with his poor ball security and regularly losing control whilst playing the ball. Was much better against Eels, and I give him credit for patience he showed when a loose ball was toed ahead near our try line, the the ball didn't quite sit up for him so he just fell on the ball to gain possession on half way. in the past most of our players would have tried to continue toeing the ball and hope for the best. Daniel just fell on the ball, gained possession we got a penalty a few tackles later, then a few more tackles later RTS scored a try.
A bit of patience rather than just trying to score everytime theres a half chance, I thought it was one of the better or smarter plays from the other night ...credit to Tupou for that !

was one of the biggest mismatches I've seen when he got the ball 5 out and had sandow in front of him, hiding on the wing as usual
It was kind of like he ignored that sandow was even there, just changed direction a little and casually swatted him aside
sandow didn't disappoint and delivered his trademark "non-tackle", ending up on the ground
