That's where you lose it with me. You knife Pearce but still stick up for Soward.

Soward is a fringe first grader always has been, he will be lucky to be in the NRL in 6 months.

Read the thread and see who brought Soward into the argument, the same blokes who are struggling to defend the Teflon Kid, i will not defend Soward he is a shadow of his former self, however i would still back him to make the clutch play with the game on the line over Pearce every day of the week

I never said Pearce was a match winner, I'm not the one twisting the argument in my favour.

If you think Reynolds is the reason Souths are a top 4 side I can't wait for the day when Inglis spends a significant period of time out injured. Hey Rooster, unfortunately Souths have a great backup Fullback in Merritt, my Souths colleague reckons while GI is a beast and plays a power game, Merritt is a very good fullback, he was an ex 5/8 as a junior and his passing game and support in the middle of the field is technically better than GIs, I tend to believe him.

I'm sure like me you have been watching Soward since the Flegg days and you would know there is nothing clutch about him.

Yes he is capable of the odd freakish bit of play because he has great speed. But his greatest weakness is that he is a timid and passive player, always has been. Whether it's running the ball or tackling he is always happy to stand back and not get involved. For me it's what has held him back his whole career, I always thought he was talented enough to be a decent first grader.

Anyway who cares about Soward. Like I said to RC if Pearce doesn't get it right this year I will be the first to admit you were right.

I can't see why they don't blood RTS now, keep mini in the team but put him on the wing. If they gave RTS five rounds at fullback, the kid would become our most potent attacking player, Souths have put their Captain Crocker on the bench lol, it shows you that Maguire's attitude is far more professional, he won't stomach mediocrity in his team.
