  • Ignore Pearce's bad short kicking. He deserves massive praise for his work. He gave 100%, made 30 tackles only missed one, 400 kick metres.. Top effort watching his game without the knowing the stats, he was everywhere in defense. Played with heart and passion for the first time in a while.

That only shows they're rubbish without Hodges..But outstanding defence on our part and hopefully continued for the rest of the season

I thought our attack was very sharp indeed. A few passes went to ground that would have blown the score out if they'd stuck. When it all clicks we'll be a force to be reckoned with.

        • Did we win the penalty count? I had to Skype with the family and I missed about 20 minutes

            • Still a very frustrating team too support, the nil part is the best part of the game for us, although apart from kicks, the Bronco's had littl;e to offer in attack, if we were a good team, we would of creamed them, our attack will come in time, but changes have to be made, SKD hasent made a clean break in 3 games, Tupou, is too risky for firstgrade yet, move SBW to the centre's, Oldfield onto the wing, with SKD and Tupou off to Newtown. RTS, needs to do more, in a game like that where the forwards had to work their butts off, he should of came looking for the ball more, I know it was hard at the rate we were turning possession over, but, thats what good wingers do. SBW is coming along beautifully, and will continue to get better and better, with each game under his belt.

Did you actually watch the game, skd was very good, 4 tackle busts, that was on the back of 40% possession and ran for nearl 100 metres

                  • Great effort from the boys, defence wins premierships, but we're killing ourselves with mistakes in attack. Steady improvement each week, well done Trent and all the support staff..

                      • That was brave. That word has hardly been associated with our club in the last couple of years, but really that was special. Given how much defensive work we had to do throughout the game I knew the test would be in the last 20 when we'd be tired and in the past we've let ourselves down. It's a testament to our work in the preseason and the quality of our structures that we stayed strong right till the end.

Seeing JWH carry up the ball in the 79th minute with the same intensity one would see in the first set of the game gave me so much pleasure. That was hard fought, hard won and very well deserved.

Unabashedly jumping the gun here, but only sides of the right calibre have the mental, as much as the physical strength to grind out wins like that. If anybody needed to see where we've improved as a side then this is the game. While we still have some obvious faults we've been developing steadily with every game so far which is what you want at this point in the season.

Last thing, how good are Jennings and SBW? I knew they were quality coming into the side, but it's something different altogether seeing them play within your own team and being able to acknowledge just how much better they are than everybody else.

Very true, makes more a little more confident things are changing, defense has always been our weak point, do you think they would of held the same nerve if the broncos has scored? that to me is the true indicator
