Looking for a match in 2002 ... vs Broncos

This was Fat Hodgo's match. I've NEVER EVER seen a more dominant performance by a centre in a game before or after this game. This was absolute magic, he makes Brisbane and in particular Wayne Bennett pay big time for dropping him the year before (after he signed with the Roosters). This match also inspired our winning run all the way through to the 3rd or 4th match in 2003. Something like 14 matches in a row.

IF you have it, watch it first yourself. Hodges was scary back then.

p.s. i blame Chris Walker and Funch for costing us the winning streak vs Penrith :P

Its something I wish NewsRL and/or Poxtel would do, have an online store where you could download games from days past. It would be a real $$$ spinner for the game if someone had the foresite to do such a thing IMO.

1 try, 2 linebreaks, 2 linebreak assists, 2 try assists, 13 runs for 136 metres, 6 offloads.

Pretty dominant stuff there.

stsae, they had that a few years back, you could order a dvd of any game after 1998 i think it was, they used to advertise it in Big league.

Problem was, they were charging something stoopid like $40 for each DVD !!!

2002 he was a tremendous young talent. 2003 he started off the year amazing, then got injured. What happened over the 2003 off-season that changed hm so much. I could see that he had gotten fat, but it must have been something mental.

Mack, Fat hodgo got dumped by his girl and was saying he was home sick and wanted to go back to Brisbane.

The thing is, lockyer, tallis and bennett were having talks with Hodges all that time persueding him to go back to the broncos.

Bennett had to do alot of sucking to get hodges back, he knew he made a mistake to let him go.

Actually you are spot on with the Winning White. It held magical powers for a long, long time. We were unbeaten in it for years werent we ? Until Funch vs Souffs in 2005 or 6 i think it was.
