Not saying he's a crap player, his clearing kicks and defensive efforts were fine and i think with his speed and strength he would be great at dummy if he chose to take on the line adding to that i feel Friend's service is just a little slow from dummy and looks ordinary when he double pumps it. I think Pearce would offer quicker service and he has a longer passing game. I especially liked the effort he made to cart the ball back after the ball was handed to him just inside the dead ball a real effort there.

His short kicking game is dreadful. He doesn't have the technique to keep the ball in goal. I don't rate Wallace but notice how he kept the ball in goal. He kicked the ball into the ingoal on an angle. Pearce kicks it straight and he doesn't have the touch or finesse to keep it ingoal.
Otherwise he looked more threatening when he ran the ball and defended well. SKD and Toops had games to forget....

I'd like to see him in the 6, Maloney in the 7 and handling the kicking game, Pearce than can inject himself with running game, and have some of the kicking load taken off him. The effort was ther tonight but i think bombing anytime we get in the opposition 40 is getting predictable

Pearce has a terrible short kicking game. It completely deflates teams when u constantly put grubbers dead. He never gets repeat sets for his team.
But despite that one poor facet of his game he is fine. He has maybe just got to kick for the try line rather than in goal. Then maybe it won't go dead ,Embrace the Hate! JC
