It took 5 years of 1st grade and various positions and roles in the team for Barba to establish himself in the 1 jumper.

And Barba has a RL background.

RTS played his 1st year of RL last season. He is a virgin still in our game.

While I'm impressed with his efforts so far I understand why we are easing him in slowly. Amazing footwork though, I can't recall seeing a kid come thru our club with as much potential as this bloke.

I wouldn't be shocked if one day he ends up in the 1/2s.

Poor kid has to play out side of SKD and Maubs = no ball ...any efforts from him are mainly from dummy half .Imagine if he was playing on the other side outside of Jennings and SBW ?

If I concentrate hard I too can find errors in others too. If it's not one player it's another. Give it a rest I say.

My point of observation stays the same ...Mini in attack is not as effective as he was 5 years ago .He can still pull off the odd miraculous try etc .Work and tries his best with no doubt. Defensively he is mostly there .I just see that at bout 55m -60m into the game is when a lot of his misjudgements occur in his play and i believe its just cause his footballing body clock is winding down.........still its early in the season etc and fitness will count could get better could get worse.Last week he was ok.

What outside AV he'd have scored zip anyways, we've bombed a fair few that side of the field. But I believe we will improve dramatically as we gel.

Maubs has started from the bench the past two weeks mate, Cordner has started on the left from my observations.

I have no idea where your Maubs criticism has emerged from Brainiac. Did he hit on you over the off season???

Fair call if he was playing badly but he's been one of our best. I've seen the bloke set SKiD up for tries many times over the years. The right side has been our main point of attack since 2010 when coach Smiff created that combo. In fact it was our only point off attack last season. I'm sure SKiD has been our top try scorer in that period also.

Sure SKiD struggles with simple passing, hence why Perrett scored so few tries outside him in comparison to what he's done at The Boggs. But has AV been any better in that Dept so far this year???

I'm guessing DoubleSteamer is a left side specialist???

Personally I'd like to see RTS at FB and Mini outside SKiD but I realize that will probably happen as the season progresses.

Same in the second half. Having Shek sniffing sround when opposition forwards are getting tired could be real dangerous
I love Mini, but he is our past, not our future, please leave & let us all remember you as the champ that you used to be!!!

any way I hate the way back line footy is played these days second rows running wide to make yards to kick for field position .What ever hapend to good ol backline play?

I've always thought Maubs has a good offload especially after a break???

SKiDs try rate certainly never suffered outside him.

I reckon Robbo may be trying to play a more traditional back line, our 1/2s have often passed to each other this season, a few times resulting in points. Both 1/2s have definitely popped up on either side of the ruck during each game.

Players have been playing in their channels on the field for years now. Left and right edge players and middle third players, it's not what I love watching but in first grade it's gotta happen really.

Remember our last coach and his so-called ad lib style of coaching. All I heard last season was the magic "structure" word.

I don't disagree mate, but what's the alternative???

Ah the passage of time...Mini used to be fast and always break out of the first tackle, I had black hair and Brain couldn't spell or punctuate. Where is Cher when you need her? If I could turn back time......
