  • Staying on your wing

How bloody frustrating is it seeing wingers come in off their wing in defence.

Tupou did it a couple of times against the Broncos.

When I played wing as a school kid (before I discovered beer and cheeseburgers) the first thing I was taught was to stay on my man unless I absolutely HAD to.

    It gives me the sh!ts.

Depends on the defensive formation, wingers coming in on an up and in to snuff out a play is common, it goes without saying that there needs to be alot of trust between the winger coming in and the center covering.

The Key is the winger making sure he hits. Same goes for when a center runs in, SKD did it on Saturday night, but didn't stop the ball and fell off the tackle.

You make the hit, you snuff the play it works..... fail your assignment...... you're gonna have a bad time

It really is amazing how many wingers are incompetent defenders these days.

What pisses me off even more is when wingers are standing inline with their centers instead of a few steps back..... Morons!
