    This!

A customer of mine is a BIG betting man on the NRL.
He broke his own rule last week by betting on a game before week 7.

Had his pants pulled down to the tune of $20k.
      Haven't seen him since.
      A lesson there, me thinks.

We don't need to here about your tricks......

I guess we will know our form next time we play a top four team.

I'm intrigued by bets like this. I'm assuming you mean round 2 and not the weekend that's just gone (even though we have one game remaining). If you don't know who he bet on so be it but if you do, just out of curiosity was it the Storm v NQ game?
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

No, he only bets on the season proper. And that includes all calculations for the betting.
It was the Eagles/Knights game (week before). He felt that he would go against his system & take the Knights.
              BOY was he wrong...32 nil.
              Still haven't seen him...hope he's ok.

If you think he is a mug punter, no. He started out with $200 just over 2 years ago.
He tells me that so far he has banked close to $80,000. I don't doubt him. He's just not the type.

              Me, I don't have much so I don't gamble.

                  Looking good, 6
Looks as tho he jumped the gun with their form.
                  Wrong game, right team.

I think we've played 3 games and nothing can be read yet (although we have seen the form of individuals.)

This time last year NOBODY had any form. We'd had a lucky win against the Bunnies and a promising start to the season (much like the start we've had this year minus the Bunnies.)

The BIG BIG difference is that SBW and Jennings are HOOOOOOOOT property!!! They haven't scored much yet but mark my word... Jennings so-far has been one of the top line breakers in the comp, SBW has been one of the top offloaders. Both look fit, motivated and full of RWB spirit!!!!! If (when IMO) our boys all start combining up then there will be more then just a few linebreaks and offloads from these 2 (and the rest.)

SBW is defending well too... I see him out there talking to the boys and making sure they're in position/reading the plays correctly. This should not be discounted and I think it will pay dividends soon!

On the 2nd shelf we have some heroic efforts from a bunch of players (add some, subtract some to your liking but JWH, LOD, Maloney, Cordner, Maubs, Friend's tackling...etc.) All looking dangerous!!!

Bottom shelf there's no dropkicks yet (people will attack SKD and Mini... but they're pretty good, leave them alone!)

So... the form of many individuals is good so-far. If it continues to improve (too early to tell, but as fans that's what we want!!!) Then in 2 months time we'll be giving the Storm/Bunnies a run for their money.

mini, skd and fpn are the out of form players at the moment. they need to work hard if they want to contribute to an in form team.

I dont think the 5 days of league is helping for any sort of consistant football either, teams playing on a thurs, then on a monday 11days later then a 5 day break its just all over the shop, it was only a few years ago that league was on 3 days a week, so your training and recovery were pretty similar, these days its too much inconsistancy and sometimes only the really good teams can handle the constant changes.

the Thursday night game is temporary and for marketing purposes I believe. the Monday night game ive never been a fan of.
personally I believe there should be 2 Friday night games, 1 sat afternoon game, 1 sat twilight game and 1 sat night game, and the same on sundays.

i thought the purpose of the thurs night and sunday twighlight match was to help combat the heat in the first month, but i agree bring it back to 3 days of league.

and I love watching footy in the afternoon, seems to be a much happier, more family-friendly atmosphere.

There is no doubt we have to improve a huge amount to get anywhere near this comp but with all the new players in key positions this was to be expected. Those two wins are in the bank - we need to wait and see where our coach can take us now.
You aren't wrong there. I finally sat and watched that game tonight and it was just so overwhelming for a group who hadn't played together before. And yes, Coach Maguire's precious diva antics yesterday regarding announcing his team's lineup indicate the ego has well and truly landed in bunny land...I'm happy for us to fly under the radar and just sit comfortably in the middle for the time being..then we can stampede into the finals like 2010...
