  • Form line. can anything be read into ours??

I know we are a side that is going to develop everyweek into a better unit. I was just wondering what you guys think of the form around our matches.
Souths beat us comprehensively yet were pushed all the way by Sharks/Panthers
We beat Warriors just yet they were pumped by Eels/Sharks
We beat Broncs only scoring 8 pts though
Is this complete dribble? Possibly, just thought I would ask and I'm sure you will let me know. I can see merit in all our performances and 2/3 is a solid start for us

This has been happening for years - team A smashes team B, team B smashes team C the next week and then team C smashes team A the following week.

This is not new - its a day to day proposition and it's how your team gets up for game day. All the teams are close in terms of skills, so a top team down 5% on attitude and a bottom team 5% up will make it a very close game.

Very true. Form line suggests we should hammer the eels by 30+, but who knows, the eels might fire up & make it a close game. We should still win though

souffs wanted the round 1 win more than us. it was their grand final.

just remember that we are a new team with a new coach and new staff.

Just on Souths, I think we were caught up in our own hype leading into round one and I think they have been a bit caught up in their own hype since.

There is no doubt we have to improve a huge amount to get anywhere near this comp but with all the new players in key positions this was to be expected. Those two wins are in the bank - we need to wait and see where our coach can take us now.

Can you really have "form" just 3 rounds into the season? :/

These blokes are still learning how to play with each other. You can see it simply by our attack.

I am happy with where we are at in terms of form and progression. We dont have to be world beaters at this stage of the competition, we just have to get the wins where we can. At the last third of the season is where we should really be hitting our stride.
Its also a bit hard to compare teams this early...

Our defence has generally been real good
Our discipline in regards to penalties is an area to take notice of like I said its usually the same blokes over and over again.
A few players havnt hit their straps in regards to form been Pearce ,FPN Mini to a degree and definately SKD.Need some more polish from friend in attack as well
We have bombed at least 4-5 tries in each of these games which generally has been a lack of understanding between new combinations and a little bit of inexperience that will come as the season rolls and it will not be too long where I feel we can start dishing out a hiding.
The up coming Parramatta game is where these combinations can start clicking your playing a lesser ability team with some hunger .Parra wont give up but we have to stamp our contendership with this game.
Let the coach roll his dice and have some patience.

even early on we can wright off some teams as also rans, merge, pawwa, the riff? if we see ourselves in the upper echelon of the table as we should be then we do have A BIT OF WORK TO DO ON OUR COHESION ESPECIALLY IN ATTACK, HOWEVER attitude which is a manifestation of behaviour has been exceptionally good this season, just think back so far no excreta in hotel corridors, no ice fights at night clubs, no alcohol bans, no drink driving charges, it all seems to good? makes you hold your breathy a bit? if we can hold onto that attitude we will be a listers for sure? now we have to learn to finish off teams? we should have put a few more tries on the broncs need to on pawwa and must annihilate the merge! Canberra at home will be a challenge for us!

A Win is a Win - 2 point at a time will do me at this stage. Every team will get better as the year progresses - the top will just get better quicker and stay there longer.

Except for $ouff$. They do it the other way round.
Grand Final in March.......then it's all downhill.

There is no form line in the opening 2 months. Look at the opening to the 2012 season, there's a lot of strange results.

What I will say is I think we have a pretty easy draw to start the season. Parra should test us with their up an in defensive line but I still think we're better on paper.
