surely we can't take a bench of Mortimer/Kennedy/Maubs/Guerra into a match, not enough grunt in the middle, could Evans actually be in line to make his first grade debut.

Sydney Roosters player Luke O’Donnell has been stood down for one week following a breach of the club’s standards, including being late to training.

“The Sydney Roosters have strong policies in place and any form of breach is taken seriously,” said Sydney Roosters Chief Operating Officer Football, Brian Canavan.

LO'D apparently dropped for being late to training.

This is a nothing incident but good in a sense as it alleviates the selection headache

so we dumped 3 youngsters for LOD who has so far looked off the pace and now can't be bothered to turn up to training on time, this has a Riddell type signing all over it, LOD will probably retire before the end of the season.

                That's how I see it.

If that bench runs out we would be short a prop or tight forward.

I expect Evans or Tasi to come off the bench.

if it was a nothing incident he wouldn't have been stood down, no great loss his form so far this season doesn't mean he is an automatic selection, fingers crossed they set the "undertaker" loose on monday night.

Or you can look at it that finally the coach is in control and has shown no matter who you are if you don't follow the teams guidelines you pay with your spot.

It also shows we have genuine competition for spots finally.

Now the balls in pLODs court. If this doesn't fire the carnt up And make him man up well he doesn't belong in the NRL.

                    The FlogPen .

                    You know it makes sense.

Who wouldn't have got a game anyway.

Tasi is almost ready to go, and Evans and Napa look like they're next cabs off the rank. Do you really want to re hash the argument? If we miss the finals this year, it won't have anything to do with the fact that we moved on those 3 blokes.

                        Exactly.

Those 3 blokes were competing for spots against SBW, Maubs, Guerra and Cordner. Who are all 80 minute players.

If LOD was dropped for being late, then I am fine with that.

If he were dropped to simply make way for Evans, while leaving Kennedy in the side, then we'd have a problem.

I'm excited that Lama Tasi is back for Newtown. I hope it doesn't take him long to get back into first grade.

I think you easily forget how good this kid can be. He will add punch into our front row rotation.

Also well done to Kane Evans for getting selected in the squad.

As much as I'd like LOD to play, it's good to see the club enforce disciplinary action against players who breach the rules no matter how small the offense may be.
