Sorry I stand corrected it's whacked. I have a child playing junior RL and I coach at that level.

It's as bad a generalization as "latte" "poachers" etc.

If that's your expierence with RL I feel sorry for you. All those good people who give up their time to look after our kids and teach them not just our game but about the importance of teamwork among other lessons, just lumped into being drug dealers and alcos.

I find zero reference to giving up time being a bad thing. It's just a fact. People give up their time to look after kids and teach them skills for sport. That's called coaching and the vast majority do it for free. Therefore they are giving their time.

Suppose X-Box, playstation etc., have a lot to do with the lack of skills in todya's youth. How many times do you drive past a park and it is empty. Back in the day, straight after school, you'd be down at the park and bashing your mates in a game of footy, practising your tackling, dummy and passing. Today they are X-Box champions.

From some of the games i've seen lately thats hardly a fact. In fact they seem to spend half the game kicking penalty goals.

Now I'm very proud of our effort tonight, but did anyone notice our passing tonight. I watched this very carefully and noticed a lot of loopy and lolly pop passes being shovelled out and up to the upper chest. This made the player receiving have to pause wait for the lobby pass while the defence was rushing onto them. Hence also slowing our momentum in attack. This was not just jake, it seemed to be various and different times. I was a little frustrated at the lazy look of it, the guy I was sitting with also noticed this...



I notice this because I watched the Waratahs yesterday and saw the difference in the crisp and out in front passing they continued to have through the whole game.. Very good momentum gainer..

I was tortured. Believe me I was held at gun point. But I'm serious their passing is sharp. I didn't realise it until I saw for my own eyes. Their game is based on passing and yes kicking the damn thing all the time.

Yes, all that slick passing...straight back to the stand off so he can kick it down field. You must have watched the Tahs in their one good performance of the season.

Seriously the skill level in Australian Rugby is deplorable. They are flat out completing a simple draw and pass.....much like our own SKD! There are some guys who can play....your Coopers, Beales, O'Connors, Genias and their ilk, but most of them are very average when it comes to the basics. I would back our guys against theirs anytime in nearly and catch and pass skill.
