Minichello is past it, a full season past it and will continue to impede our attacking capabilities for as long as he's wearing the number 1, anyone that can't see that is not watching the games objectively.
The other two defining moments were Mini's pass over the sideline and SKD thinking he was in the NFL. We had an opportunity to put them under serious pressure both times and instead came up with turnovers on early tackles.
Mate my point was there were plenty who made mistakes last night so to single out 1 player & 1 mistake as the sole cause of our loss is ridiculous & shows that some really have no idea and/or are just too busy pushing there own personal agenda's to comment objectively.
Teh point isnt did he cost us teh game....he didnt cost us teh game on his lonesome. There were some pretty disgusting performances from many.
Teh question was and still remains - when was teh last time a skipper got dropped? He's due.
Alcohol never solved any life problems.....then again neither did milk.
Geez, so mini catches a tough pass (after dropping 1000 easy ones) and all of a sudden he's back, offering plenty, providing good value, blah blah blah
Mini has been past it for 3 seasons, and every season he gets a little more past it
He's the worst fullback in the competition, and to have him holding the 1 jersey for all of this season is a travesty, not only to the team but to Mini himself
He has very clearly gone at least one season too long.
We will be improvers this year no doubt and we shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water after one poor loss. However we will not be true contenders as we have too many dumb footballers who haven't learnt over 5 seasons that discipline is paramount so difficult to assume they are all of a sudden going to get it.
In addition carrying Mini through this extra year will cost us in many ways in both attack and defence. Our real year will more than likely be next year when TR has had some time in the job, Mini has moved on and hopefully some of the moronic players we have, have been shipped on and we take a leaf out of Melbourne's recruitment policy and recruit players who are true footballers who know their job and they just go out and do their job. If you then add that mix to our "stars" we have then we have the recipe for sustained success.
Captain 'safe as a bank at the back' Mini let me down when he dropped that catch in the in-goal, bye bye game.
He didn't make Cordner, O'Donnell and the rest drop the ball in simple passes they should easily have caught.
He didn't make Moa drop the ball.
He didn't make Kennedy give a dumb penalty away at a vital time for lying all over the tackled player.
Raiders touched the ball in the play the ball all night, see any penalties against them for it? not captain Mini's fault.
Raiders high tackles [around the neck is above the shoulders] all night...just ignored by the pink men [what is this, 'sheila's footy', pink is for girls?] ...not Captain Mini's fault.
When they scored from that bomb, their player came from behind our player...jumped up on our player's back forcing him to bend over and be unable to contest the ball.
I always say a man can only walk as far as he can see and I fully see and agree with ur post, I dont see how that game is being pinned on him.
Moving forward we dont know what the plan is and we cant asses where RTS is either a good insight for me was a comment RTS made on chnl9 the next day after (he said something like I thought we were unbreakable after the 50-0 win). Shows in experience to me! He will be ready when Robinson thinks he is ready, rubbishing our captain is quite sad.

That wasnt what was being said. The point being made is that although Mini did drop 1 bomb in the the ingoal which did cost us, he also pulled of a play (catching a pass at his feet on the run, which many supposedly better players would of stuffed up) ,that should of been enough to win us the game.
Its called bringing a little balance into the discussion, somthing you would have no idea about.

I agree. It's sad seeing a player that was a club legend a decade ago playing on and ruining his reputation.
Sadly, we are stuck with him for the rest of the season.
He seems highly strung.
Sort of bloke who would demand the captaincy rather than earning it.
Might be a great fella, but this is footy.
It's a ruthless business.
Lets call a spade a spade.
Was great for 5 years.
But since then the club has carried him.
So the conclusion is that he is one of Nicks boys.
As was Ricko, Freddy and Fitzy.

You think Mini got his swan song year for bringing in a major sponsor? Surely it had a lot to do with him getting the little c next to his name.
