Bingo, we have a winner here with Vasco's comment.
I am certain most of the players couldn't give a rat's arse that they won the spoon.
Supporters care far more than the players appeared to this year. So Dolphin, if you think "winning" the spoon will have any effect, positive or negative, on the players, you, I feel, would be sadly disappointed.

As JT/The Anus posted earlier today, most fans have dropped off this year as the team delivered rubbish after rubbish. The loyalists/those with no lives continued to fork out to watch these imbeciles run around and produce nothing. I got jack of it early enough and refused to give up my time to a bunch of young blokes that couldn't give a shit.

Times have changed where players really care about the jersey they are wearing. Quite simply, most don't give a ****.

I find it sad that some fans still think players actually care about the jersey. They don't. Fitzgibbon is part of a dying breed. The new generation don't give a toss. Why else do we see teams win by 30 one week then get belted the next. It's all about attitude, and quite frankly most players don't have that desire anymore.

Fitzy is the last of the players our club that really cares. The sooner we realise this the less personally we will take losses.
