Concede less penalties. Win the penalty count, win the game. It seems to be the pattern these days.

Look back and see how many tries in the Suoths, Warriors and Canberra games came directly off the back of a penalty.

True. But what leads to the penalties?

We can't just say "ill-discipline!" for every match, the stupid penalties; yes, pretty much all of SKD's ones, but the rest are based on fatigue.

The two games we have lost on the board, we have lost the penalty count and were pounded by the oppositions bigger forward pack.

Why didn't the same scenario happen with the Broncos game? They had so much more possession and we have to make more tackles, but they were pretty sh!t through the middle and we defended brilliantly.

against a larger pack, we need to carry another forward... daniel is a great player but his work rate isnt enough when we are behind

Sorry mate. I've got nothing then. Hopefully Robbo has some ideas.

Very true. Whilst I admire Daniel's commitment, attitude, toughness etc, the fact is he's small & goes low to tackle big blokes, which enables quick pay-the-balls. This means we can't dominate the ruck, which means we will have to hold down the tackled player longer, which leads to penalties. Considering Daniel's only used for 20 minutes, you might as well swap his place on the bench for another prop.

              Ha!

We do lack size up front, as always with the Roosters.

I like Moa, but he's on the smaller scale for a prop.

Give it to Sonny-Bill every other play.

                That might work.

Once upon a time we used to kick deep and continually turn them around tiring the big boppas out.

dont take em on in the forwards - they tried to do that against souffs and sure we had less ball and penalised at 6 -1 point but could not match them. if a fair share of ball and penalties against bigger packs why not play it wide rather than in the forwards.

our props should have stayed off that organic cave man diet.... they need an extra 10 kgs on them, hollywood thinks he is a super model ..... he is the toughest player in the game imo but not the strongest..he needs to train harder, and eat more
