mini has always had the ball skills of a loose pair of underpants. can anyone remember freddys experiment with mini at 5/8? . Mini on the wing, rts fullback in my opinion would make the mighty roosters mightier

What irks me is that when we win, you lot get to celebrate just like those of us who do actually support the players. Those of you who are bagging Minichiello (the captain, no less) wouldn't get the time of day from the likes of Pearce, SBW, Maloney, JWH, etc.
They'd spit in your face if only they knew.
Winning is not everything, you know.
If you did you would understand that this squad of players have made enourmous sacrifices in their lives. Putting in the hard yards when they could have been partying, spending time with loved ones. They go through the difficulty of playing with injuries or spending large amounts of time in rehab recovering from injuries. These players do this in the hope of achieving a premiership victory and don't deserve their lifetime sacrifices by players putting themselves above the team and their own aspirations above the rest....

IMO Fitzy was just as big a Roosters legend as Mini when the club didn't sign him. It was his time. He wanted an extra season but you could tell that he was slowing down for NRL and Uncle Nick tapped him on the shoulder. Father time catches up with all players. If a player can't see the obvious then others need to let them know.
I wonder if some of you would still have similar feelings if Mini got his way and played on with us for a couple more years. If it wasn't for Steggles he probably wouldn't be playing this year.

Verlaine was a big Finch fan because he "gave 100%".Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

all well and good, its just that mini continues to live the dream that he can play nrl here for a few more season? if he was totally honest with himself and came out and said this season at easts is my last I'm moving to the UK or Italy for a couple more after this, then he would not only continue to enjoy the total support of his team as he does now but also the undying adoration of the true easts fans!in fact from time to time wed be happy to spell him for a fortnight to let the old body recover? knowing we have a worthy replacement both at fullback and on the wing!

For a team in the nrl winning is everything, its why sponsors come on board its why the better teams get chosen for tv ratings, it is not park footy where you play for free and a bit of fun.
Nobody us questioning his legend status, but for how long does the legend tag carry you through to?til when do you think mini should play til? Til he says its time regardless of performance?
I think freddy had another 2 yrs of footy in him and was upset at his retirement, unfortunately it will be only joy when mini retires for me if he chooses to play on next yr.

There is nothing wrong with Minichiello's form.

You think he should be the first grade fullback?
We all love Mini but his time is up.
The coach had no other alternative to not only select him in the team but also name him captain.
Clearly uncle Nick is staying loyal to him and Robinson recognises this.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

Are you saying that one player is greater than the team?, i cheer for the team, not for one player.

We just have a brain and know that he shouldn't be the first grade fullback. That's all.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.
