How about a compromise, its obvious Mini will have to break a leg or something similar, not to be selected,so what about in the big games, against the gun sides in the comp, RTS plays fullback when we have the ball, and wing when we don't. Then when we play the lesser sides, reverse the roll RTS plays fullback in defence, and wing when we have the ball. That way he gets experience in both duties of a fullback, hopefully on our terms.

I would be more happy playing rts at fb for 20-30 minutes at the back end of a game when we are leading by a large margin. Against the seals and boggs would have been the perfect opportunity to show case some of his talents. I'm afraid that come next season RTS will not have played any NRL at fb and will be thrown into the deep end with no experience.Comment of the year:

Most of the top line fullbacks in the comp spent much of their earlier career on the wing, or centre. It's not the end of the world if RTS doesn't get significant game time at fullback before he goes there full time.
The way I see it, if RTS was playing like Mini is now in his first year, you wouldn't bat an eyelid. You are comparing the Mini of yesteryear with the Mini of today. He is still playing OK football .... JUST OK. To say he isn't NRL standard is really being VERY harsh. He isn't the best fullback running around anymore, and I agree that his powers seem to be diminishing before our eyes, but he certainly isn't as bad as some of you are making out.
