This is why we should have kept Braith.
Not only is he a lovely bloke but he would never go & get himself picked for rep footy & let the Roosters down.

Otherwise I would go with Mini at 5/8 & that suggestion to play Friend at 1/2 back was sensational.

I think RTS will most likely play left centre if Moga is not back by that stage, with Langi coming in as five eighth. Mortimer will struggle as halfback in my opinion. I think Friend would do a better job with Morts and Seluini interchanging between hooker. Friend was a halfback all through his junior days and I think he would be very creative as a first receiver. He runs well to the line and has good selective passing. His short kicking is arguably better than Pearce's and he's improved his long kicking. He would know how to direct the team. He'd have the respect of the forwards as a vice captain and good defender. And while his running game might not be amazing I think Langi would run enough for the both of them. It's really not a ridiculous idea at all when you consider all this and the fact that Mortimer has played all his first grade at hooker this year.
