    Really great signing.

Maubs is a really good worker and although he wont ever be a superstar he is a consistent first grader. He wont play origin or test foot so that means he will be a consistent club footballer. Even if he is playing from the bench he still offers us a lot.

$300k per year is a steal! Remember we have the salary cap increase and a lot worst players are getting signed on a lot more than $300k.

Along with this, we need some senior players to help bring up our younger players!

good point. puts things into perspective. remember, sandow is on 550k a year and that was on the old salary cap.

its official, doesn't say how much, but reading through the article, I was amazed to find out he debuted at 19, in 2007. and from memory I think he played five-eighth that game too. onya mitchy, some love ya, and some hate ya, but im a fan, and I wish you well.

spot on and also dont forget that at his peak (2010), he was the best attacking backrower in the comp in terms of tries, try assists, linebreaks, linebreak assists etc. Throw in those defenisve stats and we have a serious player on our hands. 300k a year is great value. Another point to add which emphasises this is that maubs in 25 this year which means that in 3 years time when this new deal expires he will be late 20s and likely on the way down. We have signed on a player with this much ability on middle of the road money - great result. He is also not one to now rest on his laurels - he is and always has been for the team. Great result for all!

Chris Anderson had him train at 5/8 all of the off season but I dont think he ever got a shot at playing there. If Im wrong Im sure Mr know all twitter spanner will let me know.

                    from aubo's wiki page:

Aubusson made his debut in Round 1 of the 2007 Season vs. South Sydney Rabbithos at Five-Eight.

Is it 1.2mill over 3 years?

I like the time frame but not the amount. 400K for Maubs is too much.

                        Chook.

I hope its no more than 1 mil over the 3 years. 400k a year is too much.

So the Roosters have signed Mitch Abberson. What position does he play where did they get him from & how old is he?

Hope they get him mixed up with Mitch Aubusson.
