Carney is a halfback and a better halfback than Mitchell Pearce..carney is a natural 5/8
Anasta is a better 5/8 than Pearce...Where does this leave Pearce...???it leaves pearce at 7 as the above will be 6
Mitchell Aubbuson should be our lock to replace Fitzy...will be a defensive centre
JWH will end up starting games at prop..
Minichello is the best fullback at the club and he must be played there..maybe three years ago
We need a centre badly...
mason needs aami to harden up

"The warrior" Waerea-Hargreaves should be partnered up with Ryles up front . Myles and Mason must leave the club before they shame us more. Carney and Pearce Halves, Mini fullback. We need a quality centre as well as a backrower who will rack up the tackle count (Todd Lowrie) would be a great buy. Finally, Anasta at Lock. This would probably be a team that would improve from this years disgrace and beat position 16 next year.Last edited by theroosters; 09-30-2009, 10:54 PM.

Then yes, I don't mind. Myles just recently re-signed, but we will see what happens.

Coach Smith acknowledges Jakes's capabilities but has told him in no uncertain terms he will not put up with anymore off-field dramas.
The ball is in his court!

But this bloke is one of those players who, we as fans might not really notice, but his team mates realise the amount of work he does and feel lucky to have a bloke like that in their team. IMO would be the ideal signing for us at the moment.
Clever signing for them. He joins their other "cheaper" hard working players who are on modest deals themselves i.e Tandy, Tolman, Nielson etc..
This is the main reason they can afford to offer big $$ to Slater, Inglis, Cronk, Johnson & Smith.

ok with the exact roster we are going to have, this looks like our best and most well balanced option:
1. Carney
2. Perrett
3. Graham
4. Williamson
5. Miniciello
6. Anasta (c)
7. Pearce
8. Myles
9. Friend
10. Ryles
11. Mase
12. Symonds
13. Maubs
14. Paea
15. FPN/JWH
16. Cherrington/Conn
17. Jones
I think graham and pez down the left interchanging between centre and wing could be quite strong whilst I think we need one youngster to come in and fill the right centre spot and williamson is our best option - with mini outside him, its time to blood him next year.
Anasta is no forward so for the balance of the side, I think we are better off having carney play the gidley role as a way of easing back into first grade footy and also making him more dangerous - fullback is becoming more and more important so he could be key from there and probably offers the most from there out of anyone.
I have been keen on mase off the bench and nate in the backrow but with ryles coming, nate needs to start at prop - FPN/Paea/JWH would not complement Ryles as props whereas Myles would. The free backrow spot should go to symonds - he is our best option and playing with williamson, we have 2 big strong skillful players roaming wide with the experience and speed of mini outside them.
The size and power of ryles, mase and myles is balanced by the speed and skill of maubs and symonds whilst the bench though pretty young, has plenty of get go and impact about it. The backline has plenty of strike power, speed and strength
Not bad imo. A good balance of youth and experience across the paddock and a pretty talented side. If well drilled and fit can make the 8 imo
