Thats Scots College fullback is certainly a top prospect. I think we might have signed the Scots centre who is also very good, does anyone know whether we have signed him?
Dane Atkinson is the Scots centre you're talking about. We've signed him.

New signings to the NYC Squad:

Mark Kheirallah - South Sydney NYC
Rhys Lenarduzzi - Shellharbour NSW Cup
    Jay Chatfield - West Lions
Lain Windley - Gold Coast Titans SG Ball

    Retained from Newtown SG Ball:

    Adam Brent
    Lepuha Paseka
    Jeremiah Tia Tia
    Jared Cherrington
    Nick Eshman

I can also confirm Cheyse Blair, Boyd Cordner, Ryan Williamson and JP Du Plessis are in the fulltime squad. Jacob Miller, John Leiataua and Joseph Leilua are training with the NRL squad in the off-season.

    • footy, is Jared Cherrington related to Anthony Cherrington?

Oh, and that is a MASSIVE shame about Dane Cordner - very disappointing news that he won't be a Rooster.

          Thanks mate.
What a coincidence though as that surname is hardly common.

Luke Towers is with us next year as well. Dylan Sharp is with Newtown.

I think it's beginning to look something like this:

                    NRL

                    1. Anthony Minichiello
                    2. Sam Perrett
                    3. Mitch Aubusson
                    4. Phil Graham
                    5. Shaun Kenny-Dowall
                    6. Todd Carney
                    7. Mitchell Pearce
                    8. Frank Paul-Nuusuala
                    9. Jake Friend
                    10. Jason Ryles
                    11. Willie Mason
                    12. Nate Myles
                    13. Braith Anasta (c)

                    14. Lopini Paea
                    15. Anthony Cherrington
                    16. Jared Wearea-Hargreaves
                    17. James Aubusson

That team looks just about right. I can see Brian Smith giving Shaun Kenny-Dowall a chance as it's his first chance to work with him and hopefully he can give the kid confidence because when he is on his game, I wouldn't swap him for anybody else. Jared Wearea-Hargreaves is a welcome addition to the pack and will add a bit of spice. James Aubusson will get the bench spot ahead of Ben Jones because he is a specialist hooker. The team looks pretty strong across the bored. Braith Anasta will play a very big part in this side. If he is successful at lock, it will allow the halves to stick together instead of resorting Anasta back to five-eighth and Carney to another position.

                    Newtown Jets

                    1. Luke Towers
                    2. Steve Naughton
                    3. Kane Linnett
                    4. Sonny Tuigamala
                    5. Sisa Waqa
                    6. Nick Kouparitsis (c)
                    7. Tavite Vatuvei
                    8. Ray Moujalli
                    9. Luke Letele
                    10. Martin Kennedy
                    11. Mose Masoe
                    12. Daniel Conn
                    13. Tom Symonds

                    14. Khalid Deeb
                    15. Aiden Guerra
                    16. Dylan Sharp
                    17. Brad Takairangi

This is a really young side but there is a lot of potential in this team. A lot of them will get a chance in the top grade and some will stay there during the year for extended stints through injury or otherwise. I expect Mose Masoe, Martin Kennedy, Daniel Conn and Tom Symonds to step up into first grade regularly. The team looks pretty solid overall but are desperately lacking good halves. Luke Towers will push hard for a gig in the NRL at some stage during the year.

                    Toyota Cup

                    1. Hughie Stanley
                    2. JP Du Plessis
                    3. Ryan Williamson
                    4. Cheyse Blair
                    5. Fine Moeakiola
                    6. Ben Jones
                    7. Jacob Miller
                    8. Isaac Maliota
                    9. Samuel Brunton (c)
                    10. Samson Manu'a
                    11. John Leiataua
                    12. Joseph Leilua
                    13. Boyd Cordner

                    14. Tom Pelo
                    15. Olireti Samuelu
                    16. Ethan Lowe
                    17. Jerome Leolahi

Great team on paper but whether it is shown on the field is another story. Some of these boys will play NRL during the year if there are any injuries. John Leiataua is with fulltime so I expect he will start and that's why Jerome Leolahi has gone back to the bench. Our backrow are all with the full-time squad at least for the off-season and our backs are lightning. You've got the likes of Williamson, Blair, Moeakiola, Stanley and Du Plessis who can cause massive headaches for the opposition and topped off by class halves in Jacob Miller and Benny Jones. Awesome team and should do very well.

wakim is doing year 12 by pathways - year 12 over 2 years so still has another year to run at waverley. The only bit of the cranbrook kid i have seen is him getting smashed and he sat the rest of the game down - one of the best hits i have ever seen

                          • Happy that Sharp is staying!

Earl is either with Newtown or gone, and both Waqa's are gone.

Not sure if Vatuvei, Lutele, Andersen, Deeb or Moujalli will still be around though.

He is from Parramatta's SG Ball squad this year. He is a great player but was injured for most of the SG Ball season. He is a second row/centre and is very strong on his upper body. A full off-season with the full-time squad and he'll be very handy for us next season. The NYC is shaping up as a great team with several players involved in full-time during the off-season. Exciting times ahead. I will be watching this NYC team with a lot of interest as a number of it's players can easily move into the NRL ranks in the next few years.
