We have 8 players that have international or SOO experience in the team tomorrow. As well as another 4 with a GF under their belt. They will be fine.
They were big games talent wise but the atmosphere of ANZAC day is just a whole other level. It's up there with SOO & Finals footy imo. There's a lot of emotion after that last post, when the jets fly over and all the boys get into a huddle. Experience is crucial in games like this and we've still god a very young squad.

Anyway I'll stop talking down our chances, I've never wanted to win a club game so badly. I'll take a 1 - 0 scoreline.

I can't find out if Weyman is playing or not, he's listed as 18th man, but the the Telucraps injury update says he's back round 7, also says SBW is back round 7 & I'm pretty sure SBW is playing! If he plays we need to really keep on top of him, I know his form hasn't been the best this year, but he always seems to own us in the Anzac Day games.

We've got SKD, Jennings, Maloney, JWH, Moa & Cordner all backing up from rep footy... Cordner, Jennings & Maloney in particular who have a 4 day turn around which is ridiculous. Only Merrin will be doing the 4 day turn around for the Dragons iirc.

          Big advantage to them.

We've also got a really poor record in this game and the Dragons have won 3 in a row. This will be a harder game than what those odds suggest.
Don't worry about Jarrod. He could play every day. And SKD was hiding v The Aussies.

What a change... I remember before the 2010 GF a dragons mate and myself went through their roster. At the time, every Dragons player had played rep (whether it be QLD, NSW, Australia or NZ.)

Now they have 1 current rep player. (Okay maybe more but still.)

As always we're the Roosters. Not bagging us but we do have it in us to lose against the odds. ANZAC day last year showed that!!! I'm still struggling to fathom how we lost that game, and to be fair we were in a similar position last season... to me our loss on ANZAC day was the turning point of our season.

Last year if we'd beaten the Dragons, Souths and a few other teams who we had on the ropes, we would have made the 8. The game hasn't changed in that there's no room for a relaxed/confident attitude. We need to go in there expecting a tough battle, where our best will be needed to get over the line at bare minimum.

Quietly I think we'll have them on the ropes after 20 minutes if we go there smelling blood, respecting their lineup and giving them everything we've got. Otherwise we'll play sloppy football and struggle to get over the line.

I'll be there by the way (my bus from Canberra is going trough opposition territory right now and I've brought the keys to my flat on Moore Park Rd, so will be having a BIIIIG night after the game - Russian flu at work tomorrow.)

The half time head to head odds were interesting

The roosters were at Black Caviar odds of $1.01

The Dragons were at $40..... yes that's right $40, according to the Sportsbet odds shown on the big screen at half time !!!!
