  • Disgraceful Officiating

It needs to be made perfectly clear that these two clowns are not to be refereeing big games of football, if at all. Besides Coopers clear push on Pearce and resulting knock on, there were a total 21 penalties blown with the next more ridiculous than the last. The boys put in a great performance but I'm afraid an important game will be lost because these fools don't know when to put their whistles away.

At least half of them didn't need to be blown, especially towards the end when both sides were tired, it was poor officiating for me as well but used to it.

mk deserved every penalty blown against him. if he hadn't scored that try, everyone would've been calling for him to be dropped.
as it stands, apart from those three penalties, I think he had a good game.

So much for fixing the problem, nothing has changed with them

Bloody over the "shoulder charge" penalties. Absolutely ridiculous powderpuff calls.

You clearly see with Pearce, the change of angle forces him to lead with the shoulder. Exactly the same as Bedurus against Ferguson

Those pot plant penalties, are what killsya, against good sides, MK is always good for 2 or 3 a game, serving no purpose or gain to the side, except to put them under undue pressure. His forward moving game was a lot better today, didn't see him easing up on the line, so that's a good thing at last. Guerra doesn't look fit enough for first grade yet, and his inept grabbing in defence was obvious as well, a few more weeks at Newtown honing his defence and fitness is required. Forward passes, cost us one definite try today, and maybe a second one, they have to get this right, again, all hurtful against top sides. The NRL has to get this shoulder charge thing right, now they have gone too far in the other direction, both Saints and us were penalised for doing it, and they were fgair dinkum love taps, the game is going too soft, and losing the gladatorial standing that made it so great. A good win on a special day, good to have the trophy back in our cabinet. Just off topic for a second, I watched in awe today our VC winner Ben Roberts-Smith, what a huge man in stature, honour, and bravery, while Aust produce men like like him, we are doing ok,Lest We Forget.

Absolute rubbish, he went in for the shoulder charge and paid for it.

Was I the only one who saw a Merge player run in and blatantly push one of our blokes out of the way for their first try?

I think it was that dirty back pedaller Creagh....

Banning shoulder charges completely was/is a very stupid decision .

I saw it too! It was too early on to show up on the replays though.

In general, I think the refereeing is going in the right direction but the refereeing of both sides was rubbish today - far to many penalties that didn't need to be blown.

I suspect the atmosphere got the better of them and I hope Andersen has taken note for these two to not be doing any more big occasions in a hurry.

I was astounded that it was given as a try, I was saying to the son this is going to be a stitch up when they didn't even look at it when it was sent up.
