  • Storm and the Roosters' 19 Game Record

I read somewhere that the Storm are aiming to beat the Roosters record, established in 1975, of 19 straight wins. A couple of points:

    1. The Roosters' record was set in one season, not two.
    2. Even to reach this 19 game streak, they will need to win every game leading up to their match against us in Rnd 11 AND
    3. Then they'll need to beat us in that Round 11 game (at our home ground).

Assuming we are still going well, that should give the boys even more motivation.

Whatever happens they cannot claim the record unless they win 20 in a row in the same season.

We've done that before (protecting our record).
In '87 (I think), Manly were on the roll heading toward breaking our record ...and we caused the upset and knocked them over. So we'll have to step up to save one of our proud records.
Also our was done in the one season, not a continuation from previous year !
