Personally I think where they have the clear edge is being able to bring a beast like George Burgess, whilst we run out the likes of LOD and Marty 'teletubbie' Kennedy. This is our Achilles heel, our 3rd and 4th from rowers. They also have a halfback with a little extra composure and finesse than our own who can really expose our fullbacks struggle to prevent repeat sets from grubbers.
I still believe Melbourne despite today's loss is the team to beat but it is wishful thinking or just plain ignorance to believe Souffs are not a massive chance this year.
Unlike yourself who is such a fine student & who has such a deep understanding of the game.Seriously though such comments are nothing more than pure arrognace on your part.
As i've previously said I have no doubt we have the team that can not only compete with but imo more than capable of beating souths. I suppose time will tell.Originally posted by turk-283Kurt 79 - Kags 0..

As for "get out of Dummy Half"......maybe I won't go there.

There pack is massive yet mobile... we would need our forwards to stand.. i think having LOD +SBW both in better form
We need tasi !! His size will help kennedy needs to be dropped
Luke O'Donnell
The veteran forward was brought to the club on the eve of the season opener, but unfortunately the former international seems a shadow of his once-dominant former self. O'Donnell has struggled to make a dent in the opposition and has been completely outplayed by his younger teammates. Sonny Bill Williams has captured plenty of headlines, so too fellow recruits Michael Jennings and James Maloney, but O'Donnell has made very little impression compared with his previous efforts with the Cowboys and Tigers. He's averaging 8.8 runs for 82.4 metres per game. If he doesn't improve, he runs the risk of not being part of what is shaping up as a promising season for the Sydney Roosters.

I have said from the start that Souths will win the comp.
When you have the best back (Inglis) & the best forward in the game (Burgess) plus a dynamite No 9 & a very very good 1/2 back, you are going to be well placed. Add to that they have got themselves a top coach & they are in there 2nd year together.
Manly next week end which Im going to & playing the Storm will gives us all a good indication of how the Roosters compete against the best. We have beaten no one in the top 8 & 2 teams in the 8 have beaten us.
Of course I am happy that the Roosters have been winning but it is way to early to judge the Roosters IMO.
Someone has to teach Pearce how to grubber kick on the 5th when the Roosters are in the oppositions quarter or better still give it to Maloney on the 5th.
