You must've been looking the other way a lot.

In another thread here, he's credited with 160m. That's quite a few runs where things didnt go wrong.

    Well done backpacker.

Getting tackled on the 6th was classic Sean kenny-dumb. However, i thought skidzy had a really good game. He went looking for work, took a lot of the tough runs and made good yards.

Skids really put in today. Great effort. He looked like he was really trying to get the roosters going. I thought he was close to our best (agreed with jwh getting mom).

        Well done skids!

i am loving trents proceess of elimination. flick the lazy guys.

fix the forwards and gain unity with them. one job mentality. run hard, run straight. now jwh has a off load.

fix the halves, bond the 2 and give them the equil role on the field but on oppo sides.

relive jake from the centre defence role , intro fresh legs and a key dummy runner and creative game player.fresh jake to finish the game with morts

skids running forward, straight and hard.
          and tackling
mini and pearce inside ball has gone

sonny 2 man cut out pass to rts

          daniel

the second rowers looking for the work, and not shy to dig deep.

Robinson has definitely been working on skids game. He is much better defensively and running straighter and harder up the middle more. Still a work in progress ATM and still has brain freezes. I certainly wouldn't be dropping him for anyone, but Robinson will be looking for further improvement in him. Given the effort he was putting in today though, he is heading in the right direction.

dont forget, there are so many positives not only because we are doing so well, but because we were so bad last year. No 'error' or decision of SKD today really stood out as particularly poor at all tbh. Going down with it on the last I can live with - we were in their half and really, pearce, maloney or friend should have pushed him out of the way and taken control anyway - you can hardly expect a 3/4 to come up with some sort of last play option. He is only a try or two off top gear imo I can just feel it. His involvement is up, he is starting to bust tackles and offload, his confidence is building; he just needs that one game/try and he will start piling them on.

Just a thought, a potential contributor to his try drought to date could well be SBW. Im not saying that SBW is getting in his way etc, but I think the fact that SBW is getting the ball often before the line and then taking it to the line is making SKD play a different role. In years gone by he has been most effective receiving the ball as SBW now does in front of the line and having the space to do his thing with guys like maubs inside him running the flat line to create that space. Atm, SKD is the one having to try and run those maubs lines (which he hasnt quite nailed yet) off SBW which isnt as natural for him. He certainly needs to work with SBW on their combination and understanding so he can unlock his effectiveness again because unquestionably, SBW's style of play clashes slightly with SKDs and I think SKD in particular needs to adapt (and is doing so admittedly).

Thought Shaun was brilliant in the first half.
As someone who often bags him, I must say he was excellent in the first half.

The most impressive part of SKD's game was the fact he ran straight and hard rather than sideways. Still had moments of brain freeze such as running from dummy half on the last and there was a customary knock on but it was by far his best game.

Surely the brain less twit would have heard the ref say last tackle, there were only 11,000 people at game it was not like he could not hear the ref

I'd like to apologize to SKD. He really gave his best today and lead from the front. Made good meters out of dh in tough spots and ran straight and hard. No mistakes today. Hope he keeps improving.

I prefer the SKD that scored trys then the one that plays like a prop.

2 errors and a penalty, he had a good game though, heavily involved in working us out of our own end.

He used to find the tryline so easily. I think he's scored one this year? Never get to see his silly gangnam style dance on the big screen except when they intro the players.
