I'm inclined to agree. 19 in a row. In one season. Don't even try and compare it you purple people cheaters

They would have had to beat us at home to break the record anyway so they had no chance

Glad their run is over, hopefully next time a team challenges our record it's within the same season!

If we do decide to punt SKD as many of the experts on here are guessing, Jack Wighton is the bloke to take the mantle in the centres.

          I like him a lot.

Would'nt count anyway mate its over 2 seasons, be like scoring 96 in the 1st innings of a test match then claiming a century when you score 4 runs in the 2nd innings, same thing I tell idiot souths supporters when they say the've been in the comp as long as us, cos they got punted for a year or two or whatever.

Yeah its kinda like when a bowler takes the final two wickets in an innings, then takes a firstball wicket in his next test ...and claims a hat trick ...technically yes, but just not the same !

Was kind of hoping they'd have to beat us to get it...would've been massive.

Agree though, shouldn't count over 2 seasons.

I'm relieved that we still got the record

Now for the greatest winning margin in a GF. I wonder if Manly's win over the storm can be adjusted for the Calves blood factor. 4 pts would be about right.

It's only the biggest because our win over the Dragons was in the era of 3-point tries

We also have the record for unbeaten streak in the. 34 games it was however over 2 seasons and included 4 draws aswell. Still pretty impressive I think

You mean the next innings of the same test. Hat tricks cannot carry over 2 separate test matches.

Ah well next innings then, don't know why had some vague recollection of someone claiming a hat trick over two test matches ...but even so, claiming it over two innings is somewhat hollow or flat.

Possibly Merv Hughes in Perth Hawkeye. Took the first wicket with last ball of the over, the second with the first ball of his next over ended the innings and then the next day he took the third with his first ball. 3 different overs and two days, even he didn't realise he had a hat trick until S Waugh pointed it out.
