Considering SKD would probably be on only 100K less than that, Morris would be a great buy. He is easily a 100K better centre than Kenny-Dowall.

If you call Morris' defence very average, Kenny-Dowall's must be abysmal in your books - yes he's improved this year, but Morris has it all over him in physicality and reading the play. He is also one of the quickest players in the competition and very strong in contact.

We would be a swapping a rocks and diamonds player who is as likely to bomb a try as he is to score one, and is as likely to shirt grab as he is to hit with the shoulder, for a very consistent rep quality center who is lightning fast, and a tried and tested finisher as well as a solid defender.

All for the price of 100K.

If SKD is worth 400k then yes, I agree with you Josh Morris is worth 500k. But SKD isn't worth 400k so that doesn't automatically make it a good buy. SKD is a worse defender, no doubt in my mind in that although he's also superior with the ball.

Josh Morris is also anything but consistent, have you watched him this year? He's blown numerous opportunities for a great finisher I think he's got what 2 or 3 tries for the year? That's not my understanding of consistency.

If Moga returns this year and looks the goods, I wouldn't be going for Morris. That is a massive if though.

I would be very happy if next year, when RTS takes the fullback jersey, Morris came in at centre for SKD and Moga took RTS' spot on the wing, easing him into first grade.

We could do a lot worse than Morris. I know you like to hype up younger players, but who else gives us the proven quality of a Josh Morris? People bander around guys like Jack Wighton, but they are UNproven, just full of the famed potential, and will come at a comparatively hefty price tag (not on Morris' level, but he, unlike Wighton and co, has proven himself, and we'll have to pay to lure away junior potential from other clubs).

What are your other replacement options for SKD?

I definitely think Pearce's creativity is underrated but hes just consistently good over the full season. He doesn't really have the ability to dominate a game by laying on lots of points like a Hayne, Thurston, Carney, Johnson etc etc can.

They're what I class as creative players, a lot of the tries pearce sets up is within a structure, his ability to play outside of a structure (off the cuff) is limited.

Has class written all over him. If he gets pushed to fullback this year ill be queing up at the tab to put money on us for the premiership. It'd be up there with Carney's move from fullback to 5/8 in 2010 imo.

its such a blow out because I was watching U20's this week and I saw there fullback playing and I was like ive seen him around before and i relized that he went to my high school. i searched him up and found out that he was the player the roosters were trying to snag up.
