he was a good player for us, and by some people's standards, if he won a premiership with us, he must be good.

Nothing against the bloke, what's done is done.

He always speaks highly of his time here and we're obviously still very close to his heart if you read what he has to say about us.

i liked wingy when he was with us but liked it more when he left. game one in the red and green $hit, wing was held in the upright position and bang, toups smashes in on him and gives wingy 4 weeks off. ribs i think

wow some of you on here happy he was hurt? thats abit over the top, i too was upset to see how he left but lets not forget the BS ricky was doing to him, moving him around the field and to the bench, it was no shock he wanted out he was being treated like shit.

I like the guy he always represented us well and always gave 100% for us, id never wish him harm cos he left.

wing only came to us after souths were booted from the comp. there was no want to leave them but necessity.

Wingy was a champion on and off the field.
Very proud he not only represented our club but won a premiership, a world club challenge and played for Australia whilst here.
Yes it was very disappointing to see him leave, heart-breaking infact but one must remember its a professional game hence the reason we got him in the beginning.
Wingy will always hold his time at the club dearly, he has a permanent reminder of it inked to his arm of what he achieved whilst there.
Should some that have achieved nothing more than waving a flag on game day wish to hate, que sera sera.

IIRC he had a clause in his contract that he could go back to Souffs if they were readmitted. They came back in 2002. He could have gone then. Instead he stayed with us for another half a decade before taking Rusty's money
