    I hope we sign him, out of the sheer fact that we need to sign SOMEONE experienced for the centres.

    Next season I would love to see us chase hard for Inu, but I am frustrated at how many centres transferred this season, and we didn't chase any until now.

      What do think about Gasnier? or MacDougall?

        Gasnier = far too expensive

        MacDougall = far too old and injury-prone

        Ideally, someone who has had 4-5 years NRL experience, but isn't a big name player, who is known for finding the tryline but wouldn't ask for a big pay packet, would be ideal. Someone like Brad Tighe, Jerome Ropati, Joel Reddy, Beau Champion, Ash Graham, etc. The sort of solid but not outstanding first grader that can become a strong clubman in years to come, until the talented young kids are ready to shine.

          Ashley Graham is one I have huge wraps on. Since his move to Townsville, he has evolved into a great player but has had recent injury woes. I remember a couple of seasons back he was very dominant and was up there with the best in the tryscoring stakes. Would be another ideal player to recruit along with Michael Gordon.

                      The Roosters have made their first new signing since naming Brian Smith as coach, recruiting Raiders flyer Phil Graham for the 2010 season.

                      Graham – Canberra’s rookie of the year in 2002 and leading tryscorer in 2005 – will join the Roosters in November for pre-season training.

                      The centre/winger, who has crossed for 68 tries in 111 games, said he looked forward to working with Smith at the Roosters.

                      “I am excited about the move to Sydney and about joining the Roosters,” Graham said.

                      “The club is going through a rebuilding phase and I am looking forward to being a part of that. It will be great to work with Brian Smith and the other senior players.”

                              Signing Phil Graham is good news for the club. He will add some much needed speed on our flanks.

                                Phil Graham signs with Roosters in new two-year deal

                                September 11, 2009 New Sydney Roosters coach Brian Smith has recruited Canberra back Phil Graham, signing him until the end of the 2011 NRL season.

                                The 28-year-old prolific tryscorer, a former Raiders rookie of the year and Country representative, will link with the Roosters for pre-season training in November.

                                "The club is going through a rebuilding phase and I am looking forward to being a part of that," Graham said.

                                "It will be great to work with Brian Smith and the other senior players."
