There are similarities in each tackle. They are different but aren't poles apart like you try to make out. The major point of difference is Pearce's body position is much lower, but you would expect that to be the case.

Taking an early guilty plea is more often than not a realisation of the difficulty in getting a charge downgraded & weighing up of the consequences of a longer suspension if you fail.

If you think that proves guilt then you're very naive.

They are forced to accept the guilty plea because there is no other alternative,
