even if he was in top 20 or 30, that makes him a great player

he was known for being a hard cheat and fan of newscorp, he jumped out of merge during sewer league wars and dived into brisvegas to grab the cash, hes found his koori rootes now swo decides souffs are the way or thery are paying him , more likely?

Gordon Toolis is just that - a complete tool. And not a very sharp one!
I can't stand the guy. That other show pony Matt Johns was putting him on the spot the other night asking him why he didn't like Bennett. I found it amusing watching Toolis squirm trying to avoid answering the question.

If you look up "Bonehead" it will show a pic of Tallis.

I think if you look up the Sphincter ani externus muscle then you'll see a picture of Gorden Tallis.
              SUPER DRAGON!

Its enough to enjoy his opinion, but in my opinion if he didn't have much better players along side him and doing all his work he would have gone almost unnoticed.

Well I certainly noticed him trample our forward pack several times for both the broncos and the dragons, things like that tend to stick in your memory

And I remember Bruce Sinclair dropping him like a bag of spuds with a short right when Tallis got all over him in a play-the-ball. Punch travelled about 30cm and Tallis was down in a heart beat. Loved it !!

that wld be a tough list, props and locks would be easier, but backrowers are all over the shop, menzies and fitzy would be in my top ten but gee it wld be an open list.

and he did that well, a couple of times a game even.
But the memories that stick for me about him are him walking around the field with no urgency bludging as he often did.
His cheap shots on players not looking or already being held.

And best of all, his absolute failure whenever he got into a fight with someone close to his size. I remember seeing Tallis trying to put on a Pommy forward who laughed and belted him back, Tallis then crumpled in a mess of tears....

We mostly had a crap team when Tallis was against us. I don't recall him running over us in 98 even allowing for the smashing Brisbane gave us in the finals.

I remember Garlick spearing him at Kogarah in 1994.

                            We won the game 22-2.

I haven't been to Kogarah since.

It is a fact that TALLIS hates East. A friend of mine who worked at a hotel where he was staying got talking to him about footy and he stated that he absolutely hated Easts.
