[QUOTE=Waylander;303240]And I remember Bruce Sinclair dropping him like a bag of spuds with a short right when Tallis got all over him in a play-the-ball. Punch travelled about 30cm and Tallis was down in a heart beat. Loved it !! [/QUOTE
Nice try, but I was at that game and it was tony priddle that Sinclair decked.

I remember that game. Round 1 1994. Tony Iro's first game for the club. Ricko, who was playing centre, was sent off for a big swinging arm. That punch from Sinclair was awesome. Priddle went down fast. Unlucky to lose that game. Shit year though.
Great post - I still rate Clyde as one of my "heroes". He single changed the way league was played, and bought a whole new meaning to the term professional. And you forgot to mention Pearce, W. just all ticker.
Clyde didnt have the dropsies. Boyd has shocking hands
I remember having a conversation with a decent first grader from around that era, that thought the world of the Canberra side (didn't play for them) but had his illusion shattered when he found out that every thing did may not have been above board.

Asada would have had a field day with that Canberra side.

He is in need of a shoulder surgery and many players in his position wouldn't even be playing. He has still been a standout this year and averages close to 100m per game and gets through a mountain of tackles.
